I'd imagine we're going to make Chinese themed ones, just need someone to come up with ideas (but hopefully anglicized so they can actually be understood)
Well, Civitate is a distinctive roman term, presumably something with an asian flavor could be generated that would be pleasing aesthetically.

I meant was that custom Chinese post count ranks will probably be made if anyone wants to volunteer to help, but the actual badge names such as Citizen, Civitate, Patrician and awards like Opifex and Phalera will stay the same because TWCenter has always been Roman themed. We wouldn't rename the Curia or the Thema Devia.

TBH, it would be a pain to change all the titles

The Curia was created in late 2003 before the release of Rome.
The purpose of setting up the Curia was to act as a "Government" of what would become (in late 2004) twcenter.net
Rome was an obvious choice between Feudal Japan and Europe. Changing the names would be an absolute nightmare and would go against what Boris and the other admins were trying to create.

After the release of Medieval Total War II the ranks and designations were medieval themed. Ill see if I can find some examples, maybe the wiki has the badges, etc, stored somewhere.

If we switched the badges, then it makes sense to change the user title to post count names as well.

Esteemed members, just a quick reminder to say that the poll is open for the GW competition #230 and that the submissions are open for the GW competition #231. Thanks in advance for your contribution for one, or the other, or both

Just a quick message to say that I've posted my submission for the current monthly competition. I honestly hope to see some more. Come on guys, challenge me!!!

Competition bonus Edit: just to add some spice to the competition:
If I win, I'll share my rep rewards between the 2nd and 3rd positions (respectively +8 and +7 points in addition to the competition one).
If I finish 2nd or 3rd, I'll give my points to the winner.

For those who are interested, I've archived publicly a bunch of past competitions here. There are more to come in that public archives thread once I've checked the hidden archives one

The Graphic Discussion & Battles sub-forum of the Graphics Workshop has been recycled, as part of the forum clean-up which is intended to reduce the database errors.

The threads from this sub-forum have been moved to the Graphics Workshop archive.
