    Default Map Question

I'm sorry if this has been discused before, but I couldn't find it. I'm sure it has been discused and decided on internally...

I am wondering why about the campaign map. Why does it go to the point that it does, in the west? To me it seems that it should end just after the west coast of greece, cutting out Illyria, Italia, Sicilia, and Tripoli. The map could even be 'shifted' to include more of India, which would be more important to Persia (the focus of the mod).

And on a related note, why was Taras the only Greek colony included, instead of Syracusae or others?

I mean no offense or insult and I am sure there are good reasons you do what you do, I am just curious.

Im not sure why the RoP team added Italia or Sicilia either. Seems unimportant at th time. I dont really mind though. The RoP team has still done a great job. I remeber seeing this mod in the beginning and thinking "wow, thats a great timeframe but it lacks support and I bet it will never get done or it will take a long time." Now look at it. It is one of the best mods on TWC.

Well the westernmost areas of the map were added a very long time ago under faeghi's administration when we believed that filling out all the faction slots was the best idea.

We didnt expand all the way into scicily and include them all because that would cover rome and carthage. But we did want to include at least some of magna grecia
