I use v2.01, so I just hit start campagin and it keeps on loading on the same screen and nothing happens.
I've waited to play this game and was planning on getting into it today and expected the game to be playable but alas.
It seems I may be the only one with this issue however and I don't know what could cause it.
Maybe I need to re-configure the options?
Edit fixed, but now it crashes when I hit the family tree...

Are you a Steam user?
What does your error log say - no one can diagnose what the problem is without any information.
Why are you still playing 2.01? Everyone is testing 2.03d (see the sticky in the main forum), 2.01 has virtually unplayable battles, amongst a whole host of other things we've since fixed. -

No steam user. And mistake, I play on 2.03d, there is coming a massive summer update I've heard that will make the game full?

No, the error log the game produces, in [your M2TW directory]\logs\ - it's a text file.

Are you sure the game is actually freezing? It can take up to 5 minutes to generate the map.rwm the first time you start a new campaign. Wait it out and see if this is actually happening.
