The Northmen arrive without pomp and ceremony. An odd mix of Firstmen who looked to come right out of the history books, alongside savages from Skagos and clansmen from the mountains and knights from White Harbor.

Beneath a weathered Falcon banner, Lord Arryn and a small escort rode out to meet the Northmen as they entered the siege lines. He wore his Hand badge but that was the only symbol of rank to be seen.
"Lord Stark" he said in greeting. "We are glad you have joined us at last since being held up by our enemies in the Riverlands. It is time to strike at the heart of the Reach and bring an end to this war."
And a fine day it is to bring this war to a close, Lord Arryn. Rickard greeted him in return, extending his hand to shake. I've been gone from Winterfell too long. I've never set eyes on my own son and I've missed his first two name days already, I shant miss a third.
"I have not seen home in three years. It has been far too long. We have many swords between the two of us. If you can continue the siege of Highgarden, I would push onwards to Oldtown." Lucian was eager to finally end this conflict, for better or worse. "My son moves from the Riverlands to join us here. Soon our forces in the Reach will be augmented. Tyrell will be forced to bend the knee once his keeps are captured, and the Hightowers will follow suit."
He nodded understandingly, they all wanted an end to this war. March to Oldtown when you see fit Arryn, when your son arrives from the Riverlands it'll make up for your departure. And besides forty two thousand Northmen isn't a force to laugh at. He added with a laugh. Though I suspect the Reachmen's will assemble to face us here in short order, they can I'll afford to lose their leige even if he's just a babe. This is why Ricjard knew he couldn't allow little Cregan to become heir until he was old enough, a baby can't rule a kingdom.
Lucian nodded. "Very well, we have no time to lose. Your men may occupy the siege lines now, and I will bring my men into marching formation and continue on. Once Highgarden falls, send me a raven. We can adjust our strategy as needed." It was a short but productive meeting.

ooc: Taked with HB, my army is here.
Trumpets and war horns can be heard in the distance. A good-sized host appears, it had been camped behind some hilly terrain, some miles away from Highgarden. Unable to storm it or defeat Tyrell in battle Tarly had waited a chance to strike back to the enemy, with his own castle besieged by the treacherous supporters of the Usurper. Under tattered banners of a hunstman and a golden oaktree march the remnants of the Reach's Black army, victorious against Hightower and his lackeys. Tarly, encassed in his red, heavy, battle armor rides towards the Arryn's position, followed by Lord Rowan and their foremost vassals, like Lord Webber, Lord Hunt or Ser Osgrey.
TARLY ARMY
As the Tarly party joined them, Lucian was elated to see so many of the allies working together now in this final stage of the war. "Lord tarly, well met. We were delighted to hear of your victories. You were essential in denying the Greens reinforcement after our battle at the capitol."
Tarly raised his visor and smiled to Lord Lucian. His helmet was topped by a crest in the shape of a bundle of golden arrows and silken strips, fluttering in the wind.
"Lord Arryn! Your banners are a welcomed sight. Our own forces, battered after a battle and an ambush were unable to take the thrice-walled Highgarden"
Tarly offer Arryn his hand. Heartsbane, his colossal sword rested on its scabbard made of crimson leather.
"Thank you, my Lord, we did our best. Bleeding and killing for our Queen. Hightower was bested and hammered, his army thrown in disarray towards Oldtown. And here we are, at the traitor's home"
Albeit the boy defeated me! Was swift like a snake that lad.
"Unfortunately, Tyrell is laying siege to my home of Horn Hill, as we speak. Hopefully he'll came to relief his capital, sparing my castle of looting and my family of mistreatment"
Tarly was visibly worried.
Lucian considered the tactical advantages of moving against the beseiging host, if not now, then soon. "How many men does he have with him?" It was possible that the second army might be able to dispatch Hightower's field army while he hastened to Oldtown. "Soon Oldtown will be invested, our siege lines thrown up around them. And another surprise thanks to the Sea Snake."
Lucian looked to the host at Tarly's back. It was a small force but stout. His son would be able to swell their ranks and visit defeat upon their foe, or so he hoped. "My son marches south with an additional 20,000 men." He said, coolly. "Combined with your numbers, would it be enough to rout the Hightowers beseiging Horn Hill?
"Probably they are under the command of one of the little lord's male relatives. One of those arrogant Tyrells. It's force size and strenght are unknown, but enough to easily lay waste to my battered army. Supplies run thin and we faced some desertions and even an ambush. But still I have almost 12,000 men in shape to raise a sword and cut down some traitors. I guess the enemy could easily have twice that amount, or even more, depending on where is Hightower or who is Florent supporting. However we may take them by surprise, hammering them agaisnt my castle while the garrison sallies out"
He smiled at the mention of the Sea-Snake.
"Corlys Velaryon! His fleet is heading to Oldtown? If we cut trade and lay a siege we will be able to starve out that bastard of Hightower! He won't be that proud if he has to eat his shoes"
"Yes" Lucian said with a coy smile. "The strategy is sound, Oldtown may not survive long, but that is provided we do not suffer any reverses elsewhere in the Reach." He turned to Stark and Tarly in turn. "We must run a clean campaign with clear objectives. Take Highgarden, destroy the Green's power to project force, and finally, strangle Oldtown and force them to produce the usurper's children."
He was not quite using his authority as Hand of the Queen, rather, attempting to come to a clear consensus. "Lord Stark, it would be my recommendation that you remain here to conduct the siege. I shall go to Oldtown. In the meantime, Lord Tarly and my son shall proceed to Horn Hill to engage the Green army there."
"It's a sound tactic, indeed, my Lord Arryn. We shall destroy the Greens once for all. Tyrell shall pay his infamy, his treason to our Queen! I'm eager to cross the river and destroy those daring to siege Horn Hill"
ooc: We can try to attack them by surprise, suposedly Horn Hill's surroundings are covered in dense woods. With Tarly as guide we could arrive there unnoticed.
ooc: sounds good. My second army is like 30 hours out at this point, so go post up in the woods, I will join you, then we can launch a surprise attack
A raven arrives, bearing the sigil of House Tyrell of Highgarden
Lords and Ladies of Queen Rhaenyra's army outside my home,
This is a formal declaration of surrender, in the name of Lyonel Tyrell, High Lord of Highgarden, Lord Paramount of the Reach. If there needs to be a traditional kneeling of the Reachmen hosts, send advance warning before you as you go to Horn Hill. By the time of this reading, I, Lady Alla Tyrell, will already have begun the process of returning in to Her Grace's peace.
I humbly beg that, if my home still remains defiant, that you all the innocents within the chance of life. To storm the walls would be to kill your own men, men who could live long lives otherwise. If the siege were to be lifted, then I would consider it a personal debt to be repaid, and a sign of the honour of the men who follow Queen Rhaenyra. Men who I now regret having stood against.
signed
Lady Alla Tyrell
A messenger is sent across the seige lines to Highgarden carrying the letter. They are requested to surrender peaceably, no harm shall come to the defenders of the keep nor Highgarden populace.
Theodore Tyrell surrenders to Lord Stark, requesting of him to honour his word and also to ensure that no mistreatment is dealt to any within Highgarden. Furthermore, he insists that Lord Tarly and his traitors remain outside the walls. To fight for a different monarch is one thing, but to threaten his liege lord is another.
OOC: Now you guys can go to Horn Hill for a nice ceremony![]()
