TATW wont start

I got the mod today followed the instructions but when I start it THRU Steam (I replaced the teutonic campaign folder with it) it goes onto the loading screen and immidiatly exits. I need help bad

Hi there, and welcome to TWC Forums

1) Is your M2TW updated to the latest version? There was that latest Steam patch which has something to do with the Multiplayer stuff, and it screwed up the installation of many mods, including TATW as well.

2) What Windows do you have?

3) You had downloaded and installed TATW 3.0 both parts, and TATW 3.2 Patch?

I haven't installed the TATW 3.0 patch. Using a Windows 8. M2TW was updated. I don't know if you mean that I need 3.0 patch and 3.2 patch and please tell me when was that Steam patch released.

Steam had an update for M2TW few months ago, I believe it should be 1.55 or 1.56 version or something.

You need to install TATW 3.0 Both parts, and later on TATW 3.2 Patch. Use these steps to install it correctly: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...1#post14422184

Follow the instructions in the Readme.txt file, it is just "copy and paste" method.

I looked on your instructions but got stuck on the part where you copy the medieval2 thingy do you put it in the folder or desktop?

You mean medieval2.exe ( application) file? You need to make a copy of it in that same folder ( Medieval II Total War) and rename that medieval2-Copy to kingdoms. That means you will have kingdoms.exe(application) file in your main Medieval II Total War folder as well.

Good.

If you are planning on playing vanilla TATW 3.2 only without any submods installed, then I suggest to install this bugfix. It is just a copy/paste method.

Hi ElvenKind. Also running into installation issues. I have Medieval II & Kingdoms installed on steam. I installed the mod (all 3 parts) into the Medieval mods folder. But I can't get the mod to run. I also copied the Medievale.exe into the folder and renamed it Kingdoms.exe but I still can't get it to run. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
