Damion taps his fingers restlessly upon the table of his tent. It had been weeks, if not months since word had come from his liege. While fighting happened further north and south, the Lord of Crakehall was set here to rot at Deep Den. He grew tired of waiting and tired of doing nothing. The Lord of Crakehall gathers the scouts one misty morning, ordering them to scout towards King's Landing and the surrounding territories for any troop deployments. Without further word, the scouting parties departed. Once word returned and depending upon that word, the army would march for Payne Hall.

Scouts had reported an army at Deep Den. A rider arrives to deliver a message from Caron's hand.

The rider is brought forth to Lord Crakehall who recently heard word back from his scouts. The camp was being dismantled and the troops prepared to march Eastward. The winds were favorable from what the scouts had said. Damion Crakehall looks at the Caron rider for a moment before coming over to the rider, leaving the overseeing to his son and brother.

A rider from House Caron? What does a noble of the Stormlands want?

"Lord Lyonel Caron holds command over the Stormlands' military, sire, as Regent of the Stormlands"

Said the rider, a young and nimble squire.

"He heard of an army camped at Deep Den, unknown of who actually led it, Lord Crakehall. He wishes to inform your Lordship that the Stormlands' army heads for Riverrun. The castle is unprotected and the enemy may be taken by surprise. We've heard of a Riverlander army around Pinkmaiden, thought. And there might be more"

Damion grins at the news of this. Riverrun was unprotected and the Stormlanders were close at hand. Perhaps the Westerland hosts could finally break free.

Rider, move north and head for Goldentooth. My liege's host is there. Tell him this news for it will rejuvenate him and give him reason to go on the offensive.

Lord Crakehall then gestures to his own army.

We are preparing to move upon Stokeworth. My riders tell me that the capital may be undefended as well and I will not wait for such a chance to slip through my fingers. Tell your Lord Caron god's speed and fortune upon his venture. Do not tell my liege of where I am to go for I am disobeying my orders, but I cannot wait any longer nor let this chance go by me.
