Really weird problem with installing

OK I insert the first disk and install it, then it asks for the second disk. well the dvd drive won't open. I restarted my comp to see if it was my computer, but after it booted back up the dvd was fine. So I try again. Same thing.

When it asks you for the second dvd, alt tab out and right click on the drive and select Eject. Also you can take a ben paper clip and insert it in a small hole right below the drive door. Also how old is the DVD drive?
