Inspecting Pinkmaiden

The host of the Riverlands arrives at Pinkmaiden, the seat of House Piper.
With Ser Vance in charge of the host, the Lord Regent wishes to inspect the keep and to see, whether the fortress is still intact or needs to be repaired.

At the same time, the Riverlanders prepare themselves to fight any Westerlanders, who had been left behind, possibly as a trap or out of foolish orders to ambush any Rivermen.

Ser Tully,

That is unacceptable. My force cannot protect the Riverlands from the full might of the Westerlands. As I write this we are preparing for battle against a host that outnumbers us, by our guesses. Now is not the time to turn on our allies for something this trivial. I recommend a diplomatic solution why you focus on fighting our declared enemies who are bearing down upon us.
