Game crashes at start of luanch

Hi. I just downloaded the mod and when I start it up it sill show the loading screen for a few seconds then it will crash.
I use windows 8.
Any suggestions?

Hi there, and welcome to TWC forums

1) Just to clarify things, what mod did you download: TATW 3.0 both parts, and TATW 3.2 Patch?

2) Is your Medieval II TW a Steam or non Steam version?

3) Where is your Medieval II TW installed? The correct folder path would be needed.

Mine does this as well I download both TATW both parts and TATW 3.2 patch I have the no steam version and my medieval II is where it is default supposed to be it is only when I install TATW 3.2 that is doesn't start up. Any help you could give would be most help full.

Probably VirtualStore issue.. Go here ( http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...h-pictures-!-) ) and apply first three steps explained for Windows 7,8 and Vista Users:

1) Edit Security for your main M2TW folder

2) Unhide hidden folders

3) Search your Computer/.../ VirtualStore/ Program Files or Program Files(x86) for either Sega/ Medieval II Total War or Medieval II Total War folder, and, if you find Medieval II Total War folder, delete it and restart your PC. Try to start TATW again.
