    Default Patch 1.5 installation

I'm trying to solve CTD problems I had with Stainless Steel 6.3/4 with a meticulous re-install, this time with the patch 1.5 applied to Kingdoms but can't find the files I'm instructed to delete - being:

    data\descr_geography_new.txt
    data\descr_geography_new.db

would appreciate details about the full path for these files.

    I'm using OS win7.

Those files are in the main game's data folder's root and will only appear if you unpack the main game.

Do I have to do anything in particular to unpack the main game (MTW2 or Kingdoms?), I've already run unpack all from the unpacker in tools.

Unpacking is only required if you intend to modify those unpacked files - it is not required for the normal running of the game or mods.

No harm done by unpacking as such - simply delete those two geography files in the main game's data folder (and in the 4 kingdoms campaign's data folder if present after unpacking), otherwise you may experience battle crashes.
