Re: Rhaenyra's Advance on King's Landing, Mid 292 AL
OOC: By now, the Stormlander fleet should have arrived unless they were beaten back by the blacks' fleet at Sharp Point. Once that battle is done, the remaining force would be posted here.
Also, Trot's sellsword character and his traits is needed. And my Thornes, though I guess they would be too minor to have any major command.

Not necessarily. There's another fleet at Dragonstone that would probably stop you.
I think Shankbot's strategy was for the force at Sharp Point to be a "net" - it gets attacked, he sends in the larger fleet.

I've sent my orders to HB to see if they are allowed for that battle, but yeah - as soon as word of any defeat at Sharp Point reached Dragonstone one of the Vale fleets from there would be dispatched to try and intercept the Stormlander fleet before it reached King's Landing... or at any rate as soon as the sight of the Stormlander fleet is made aware to Dragonstone one of the fleets there would begin moving towards KL.

Re: Rhaenyra's Advance on King's Landing, Mid 292 AL
Belmore
High Lord Willem looked up in awe at the Blood Wyrm, savoring every moment as he knew that such sights were seldom witnessed in a lifetime. When he finally managed to drag his mortal eyes from the beast that defied imagination, the Valeman surveyed the great mass of soldiery which had come to the capital. I will remember this forever. There was not a man here who would not. A thousand songs would be writ, a thousand stories told. Here they were to make history.
Followed by his guards, Willem made his way over to the side of Lord Arryn. There, he heard the final victory call of King Daemon. Allowing his men a moment to cheer along with the rest, Lord Belmore made his presence noticed.
It is a good sight to see so many others joining us.
Lucerys
Vhagar is not here, the boy told the sky. Aemond is not here. That disappointed him. It was only right that the elder brother avenge the younger. Jacaerys should be here. However the Crown Prince was somewhere else, feasting with Lord Stark or some other lordling while Luke and his mother went to war.
Turning Arrax around, the Prince made his way back behind the lines in search of his mother. He had not seen her for a while and her presence was needed at a time like this.
Criston
Your Grace, I daresay that this war may be decided here and now. The thought did not fill him with much enthusiasm. Even with the Stormlanders at their side the royal army did not have an advantage. They needed Vhagar, as much as Criston was loath to admit that he required the King's younger brother.
Looking back at the sea of bodies before them, the Lord Commander of Whitecloaks and Gold felt his sweat chill. There was going to be a lot of death. A lot.

Re: Rhaenyra's Advance on King's Landing, Mid 292 AL
Two ranks of spears seperated, their gazes looking over their shoulders and inwards as a rider came through, walking at a comfortable pace.
The horse carried Rhaenyra at an indifferent, royal gait, and once she reached the front of the army, where many eyes looked upon her chin kept high, the horse turned, its groomed tail flipping in the wind. A sword sat at her side, though perhaps she could not use it.
The Queen was dressed in mail, laden over a suit of tough leather fitted to her female form.
Her father's and great-grandfather's crown sat her head, the circular jewels of sapphire and emerald repeated round and round.
She raised a hand in a stoic, powerful way, slowly and gracefully, and with it came the crashing wind of a dragon overhead as a large yellow drake flew just over the spearheads to land in the grassyfield before them. She ran forward a bit, and then wheeled, stooping her claws into the field; Syrax roared before her, the dragon's maw opening wide, bearing its vicious teeth for all to see. The screech could be heard throughout the field, all the way to the city.
Rhaenyra's hand was still upraised, and she turned her head to look at the dragon, still unperturbed, unconcerned, with a cold, indifferent expression.
Syrax turned slowly, easing her way to her rider like a toddler to its mother, making little awkward stomps, its wings slamming up and down.
Her snout stopped just short, and then moved forward, and the Queen's left hand reached out to touch the beast's scales, Syrax closing her eyes for a moment.
Then the dragon pulled away, and turned to Caraxes, growling playfully at each other behind the scene of the leaders.
Rhaenyra looked upon the army with a grimace, eyeing the ranks as if she was scrutinizing them.
She drew her sword then, raising it up into the sky, thought it was difficult for her to do so.
"Down with the usurper!" She yelled in direction of knights and men-at-arms.
"To peace and prosperity" to the peasant spearmen before her.
Looking left to right, over all, she began, "Theft is a crime. Rebellion is a crime. Kinslaying is a crime. These are laws.
But what law is there to suggest a fat tyrant should sit the Iron Throne, simply because has has a cock between his legs?
Would you rather have a crook ruling over you, his designs upon your land and livelihood, or a queen who was raised and taught to treat you with the respect and justice you all deserve?"
The sword was sheathed.
"We are here today because a criminal is within those walls - many criminals. But several in particular who, if not brought low, will ruin the Seven Kingdoms with their stupidity.
They are thieves, taking what does not belong to them! Down with the usurper!"
The dragons roared, joining the humans yells without thought, their screeches again carrying across the field in a terrifying way.

Turning Arrax around, the Prince made his way back behind the lines in search of his mother. He had not seen her for a while and her presence was needed at a time like this.
Before she rode out, Lucerys found his mother in a large, red-and-black tent lined with tough leather.
Her back was to the wind-swept entrance, her arms outstretched as two handmaidens fastened chainmail to her person.
The sound of paper shifting filled the room as breezes periodically entered the tent from under the leathern walls and through the flap door.
The queen was dressed in a leather brigandine, matched to her form like a doublet, while her legs were still saddled by a skirt, thought it was short and broken to allow movement and riding.
She was no warrior, but she would not simply watch either.
Rhaenyra's head turned right, her eyes glancing at her son as he entered.
"Luke!"
She ripped away from the servant, one of the pieces of mail falling to the ground, the maidens sighing silently.
The queen embraced her second son, tousling his hair.

Lucaerys returned the embrace, allowing himself to melt a little in the presence of his mother. The war had just become very real and the boy needed a moment to come to terms with that. He had trained to ride his dragon, he had been tutored in how great men rule, and yet he had not been taught how to not feel.
There are a lot of them, he broke the silence after a moment. I did not know so many would come.
Re: Rhaenyra's Advance on King's Landing, Mid 292 AL
In the Vale army rides Lord Gwayne Corbray (+3 Battles, +2 Logistician, +2 convincing an AI to do anything thanks to Perfumes, +8 Duels from Lady Forlorn). Lord Corbray ostensibly making for a better front commander than Lord Belmore...
In the Dragonstone army rides his brother Ser Corwyn Corbray (+2 Assassin, +3 Pillager, +2 Survival).

Ooc Lord Belmore outranks Lord Corbary significantly, and Lady Forlorn is only +4 to duels
Also @ ponti Royces retinue is The Bronze Gaurd 100 elite cavalry
Ic Yorwyck rides with the Bronze Gaurd to the front of the army looking for Lucian Arryn.

Edric studies the feild grasping his bow tightly as he sees the monstrosities the ither army was feilding. His men eyed the dragons nervously. The beasts would destroy his mean in an instant if they got ro close.

Lucian was accompanied by a small detachment of knights and squires, surrounded by flags with the sigil of House Arryn. Lucian looked out at the ranks of those who opposed him, feeling secure he could win the day on the field. He was less sure about the dragon. "Bring the ballista forward. Get them in position to fire upon the dragons. I want archers ready to loose at a moment notice to drive the beasts away."

Yorwyck nods to Lucian looking at the armies assembling across the field. "This will be a blood bath." He says stoically studying the massing armies. This would be the largest battle seen in Westeros since the conquest, and both sides had Dragons this time.

OOC: Ah, I hadn't noticed Lady Forlorn wasn't a greatsword. As for Belmore, "highlord" is a mechanical invention...he has more vassals and land, but the Corbray is the oldest and most prestigious of Andal houses, and Lord Corbray directly in the inner circle of the royal family. In IC terms he is an equal or greater personage than Belmore, even if Belmore commands more men.
Re: Rhaenyra's Advance on King's Landing, Mid 292 AL
A raven arrives for the Queen.
Mother, I am safely arrived at Riverrun. It seems news from the Reach is disagreeable...I am of a mind to visit Old Oak and rally House Oakheart to our side. Should I proceed to Highgarden to speak with the Lady Alla? The Riverlanders offer me the command of their resistance against the Westerlanders. I am disinclined to reject them.
