Crash To Desktop When Ending The Turn (At HRE)

Hi,
I am playing as Byzantines (VH-VH) with Lusted AI, Permanent Arrows, Permanent Watchtowers. Lately i often get CTD's when ending turn. And it often happens at HRE's turn. It is not happening just for one spesific turn, it happens randomly. If i get CTD, i load my previous save and overcome it. But i can't even play because it happens too often. How often do you Defrag your HD? I find that doing this helps with the smoothness of End of Turn transitions with SS, and eliminates most CTDs I tend to get.

You didnt mention it in your post so i highly recommend the use of Melooos Bug Fix Compilation to reduce CTDs

Another issue that could cause random CDTs are Windows security settings (like UAC or restricted folder permissions), see this post by Caesar Clivus how to solve them

Last but not least (and what helped me the most) is to use a little program to change some flag of the Kingdoms.exe file that will disable the 2GB RAM limit of the game, there is another thread in the TATW forum that explain how to do it

I am sorry for delayed answer. I don't know what is "Defrag" ? How can i do that? By the way thanks for advice.

Oh defrag clean's the HDD with CCleaner i think. I haven't done it =)

don't know what is "Defrag"

defrag reorganises how information is stored on the HDD by grouping related code relatively (it is initially stored on the HDD randomly). You'll find it in System Tools and it is different from disc cleaner.
