The Lannister Manse
Alys Lannister was rewarded for her hours of agony and many moons of discomfort with the frightfully loud and deeply beautiful wail of a newborn babe, one who was soon placed in her arms even as it continued to cry out for nourishment and attention.

Re: The Lannister Manse
It had been a long night, and a longer labour. She had screamed in agony for hours, but the reward was clear for all to see. A son. A Lannister son. She could imagine him now, all grown up; hair of spun gold, eyes of deep green. Smiling weakly as she held her newborn babe in her arms, she looked down at his small, scrunched up face and held him close to her chest.

He took suck even as a annoyed knocking broke the peace. The midwife chuckled. "Your Lord Husband has likely worn down the floor outside with his pacing."

He can come in. She said, through gritted teeth. It hurt even now, but it was a relief it had been such a clean birth. Not all were as fortunate.

Tyland's own lesser strain was clear on his face as he entered and he brushed past the midwife so he could see his wife. "Alys! Thank the Gods you are well, the babe as well?" He asked looking deeply relieved if not joyous yet.

She smiled tiredly, and nodded.
Yes - a boy. What shall we name him? She asked, happily. Her joy was clear despite her pain; her eyes shone bright, full of life.

"Lancel or Loren." He stated absent mindedly looking at the babe with some awe before realising he may have been hasty. "Tion is a good name as well." He amended in light of her father.

She gazed down at the boy, humming a lighthearted tune to herself. Gently, she ran a finger across his cheek.
Loren, I think. A good name for a lion cub.

He kept up his suck oblivious but his father smiled and leaned in for a kiss. "We will have to make him a Lord some day."

Alys was exhausted, and it showed as she lightly returned her husbands kiss. Chuckling slightly, she looked down at the boy again, even as he fed at her breast.
We can hope. A strong lord that will give us many strong grandsons and granddaughters. Assuming either of us survive this war. She thought, and the smile on her face died a little.

"We will never know if he is strong for I intend to leave not one man alive in all of Westeros who would ever stand against House Lannister." Tyland boasted noticing her fear.

Alys acknowledged what he had said with a nod. The thought truly worried her - this dance of dragons would soon begin in earnest and take half the realm with it.
That's an awful lot of people, dear. She said seriously.
