Shogun and Medieval are coming to Steam!

Both games will now support wide-screen, high resolution (16:9 & 4:3), Windows 7 & 8 if purchased through Steam.

Agreed, for the last two weeks, i was waiting for this day to get my hands on medieval, if not, I will be really disappointed. So if anyone from CA reads this thread, speak up.

Althoguh, I would rather have a working game. They are quite old, and making them work on new systems is hard I imagine. So I would rather they took all the time they need to make them work properly.

So this mean we have to have a TW installed on Steam to get MTW/STW?

not it just means you'll be able to launch it from the TW launcher, you'll have to buy them, they wont be free.

Good to hear, i have never played Shogun and Medieval, i started with Rome 1 but 17 GB on hard disk, why so much space is required?

They should have put it in on the Steam announcements or something. I bought Medieval today! Now I can download the XL mod and bring me back to my old habits from 2004.

Bought MTW and played it all evening. It is even better than I remembered it! So much immersion. Attila had me bored right away in comparison. All other TW games just feel like a boring chore of rinse and repeat in comparison to MTW where every battle and decision is life and death. Been having a blast playing the Vikings and once again been able to do raiding the way it is supposed to be, pillage and burn, not with a boring "press here to raid"-button like in Attila.

Can't believe it has been 10 years since I had a system old enough to run it! How I missed having a TW game that is just pure perfection from start to finish. All the others had flaws and strides of boredom, but MTW is just epic through and through.

The only downside of MTW : re-emerging factions, especially Papal States. It drives me nuts !

I bought both games as soon as I got home from work. So great to be playing them again. Played a bit of Shogun then went to Medieval. Chose the Danes and I was reminded how the rebels aren't pushovers in this game like I'm use to. It was great!
