I know. I tried to go around lords and recruit but the thread was ignored, despite the fact I asked for it to be modded twice.

I still feel the lords should be rolled at Highgarden, I never got a chance to get any lords on side, despite having that thread posted for a day or two.
We ignored it for good reason. You were doing terribly in the Black Council thread and in the Highgarden meeting. If we had moderated your thread, it was widely agreed upon that even more Reach lords would have been pushed to the Greens, screwing BF over completely.
Uh oh.
Poor Footly. Even the mods think he's incompetent![]()
Well, no complaints of rushing from now, considering someone just basically made it so that the Reach will undoubtedly join Aegon, through just like a couple of easy rolls.
I give nos about being nice now.
Well then, Lucius wasted theing characters he used to right the letters then
Ahhh
I don't know, just seems like a big clusterpoop to me.
Yeah, it's justing ridiculous. We should have stayed with the last setting.
I don't get how Lady Tyrell is constantly moaning about how she is the only one who doesn't get any prize from this when Jace has hinted more than once he wants her as Queen. The Greens have nothing to offer her or her son, other than making the Tyrells secondary to the Hightowers, and yet she is blind to this![]()
Well, now the Reach is convinced I'm giving full power to Footly, which I never did
Dude the letter was written by a Grand Maester. It would require the eyes of a Maester and a roll to detect if its a forgery. She can't just glance and say, oh forgery. Nope, requires a trained eye and a good roll. Give that it was written by a Grand Maester though, chances are low she can detect its a fake.
With Footly being so vocal though, Aegon played upon that and used it to play upon any fears that could exist among the Reachlords. Doesn't matter if Rowan and Tarly are loyalists, every single Reachlord's family has a claim on the Reach thanks to Garth Greenhand. And so far, Footly is the biggest and most vocal supporter of Rhaenyra. So use that and boom, you got a mess.

- We're not discussing the handwriting (I doubt Lady Alla has examples of Daemon's handwriting to hand, assuming she can read). I'm saying the actual logic makes no sense. The Blacks had no idea Aegon was going to usurp the throne. When the usurpation did happen, the Black strategy was to try and win Lady Alla over. Giving the entire Reach to Lord Footly (who can contribute a relatively paltry number of troops) instead of winning over Lord Tyrell (still alive at the time the letter was written, and capable of lending something like 8 times as many men) makes no strategic sense. At all, whatsoever. In addition to Jace's own stated desire to marry Alla herself, which only makes sense so long as her son lives and is the Lord of Highgarden.
- The Footlys are a relatively middling family (to be generous) and not one of the Gardener ones. If the Paramountal title was being palmed off surely the Blacks would have the modicum of good sense to approach the Oakhearts or Florents, far more influential and stronger claims than the Footlys.
Wait... what is happening?![]()
