    Default Chaos rampant

Long time Daemon held the office of Lord Commander of the City Watch. Mere beggars when he began his tenure, a proper fighting force once it was finished. Goldcloaks now they dubbed them, and rightly so. Their ranks filled the city and they guarded every gate and battlement, they patrolled the streets and kept criminals and rascals in place, or at least beyond Flea Bottom's border. However, a sieged city is soon prey of fear, and it would be worse if fear lived behind its walls already. Daemon was a cruel and ruthless man, and he had the love, the respect of the guardsmen. And had one or two agents in the town, one of them invaluable. The White Worm, Mysaria of Lys.

Her sumptuous curves, her dignified figure, her silvery hair. That made her a fitting choice for Daemon years ago, when she became his mistress. Unknown to Rhaenyra Mysaria served as Daemon master of whispers, his outmost and best agent. His hand, his will. Seductress, dangerous, merciless. She knew no liege but Daemon, no man but him, no body but his. Long years had they shared bed and secrets. She knew every desire and thought of his master, and he, in turn gave her what she pleased, what she wished. A perfect and deadly match...

She awoke like a cat in her lavish bed, between silken sheets...

A servant handed her a mirror. The polished surface returned her fair features. She caressed her silvery locks. The servant started combing it, slowly, without hurry. Sun pieced the morning and entered the room through the silken courtains. A little bell rang somewhere.

    "Go away"

She said, imperiously. Next to the bed laid a note, a message. She took it and burned it on a candle. Soon only ashes remained on a golden dish. She pulled a rope and one of the walls simply opened, a hidden door. She covered herself with a large cloak and walked through a passage to the basement, and then entered the tunnels that holed the city's ground. A hundred meters into the tunnel and Myseria found herlself on a lonesome room, covered with dust, some rotten barrels discarded on a side. A side door opened. A large and brutish man and a small and sinewy one entered the room. She was a pale shadow, a pale stranger.

"I've heard you're called Blood and Cheese..."

    ---------------------------------

The details and information were delivered. Instructions were easy to understand and to carry over. Those were authentic scum, dangerous criminals and psycopaths. The best partners in such an enterprise. Myseria braided her own hair and perfumed herself with the most expensive scents. Blood was a brute, a rapish who had killed a whore on drunken rage, Daemon had fired him from the Goldcloaks, while keeping him as one of his agents, handsomely paid. Cheese was a ra-catcher, he knew tunnels few could even remember, and his mastery over the subterranean city of King's Landing was absolute. He knew every corner, every hidden passage. They would suffice. She whistled and approached a corner on her room, where an altar was. She prayed to R'hllor, the Lord of Light, his only master besides Daemon, his second love on earth.

For night is dark and full of terrors, but of pleasure as well...

    --------------------------------------

Unknown to everyone Blood and Cheese walked under the walls of the Keep, through tunnels forgotten since Maegor ripped the tongues of the architects of that monstrous maze. Cheese said that those tunnels once provided Maegor with a way of entering and leaving the keep unnoticed, to satisfy his appetites. They had a plan.

An eye for an eye, a son for son, he had said. He swore that to his Queen. And Daemon uses to keep his word.

    His lackeys were ready...

Do they make it into Maegor's Holdfast?

    5/20 roll

    Rolled a 19.

Despite Cheese's knowledge of the secret tunnels under the Red Keep, the two cannot find any way into Maegor's Holdfast.
