I was playing the Grand Campaign as Mordor, and moved my Nazgul (The one that starts in Minas Morgul) towards Osgiliath. I also had a few other troops, which worked as intended. The enemy was Gondor with various Gondor infantry and some cavalry.
They worked for a while, but then randomly, at one battle, when I selected the Black Numenorians and had them charge at enemies, it would crash when they are about to impact on the enemy units.
Why is that? I deleted the "strings" files, which fixed the problem. But now Sauron is the pope, at least according to the text, and Mordor uses florins as currency. I dislike that. How can I fix this?
If I reinstall the mod, how do I know the bug will not appear again, given it appeared out of nowhere?
I use Windows 7 64 bit, Steam Total War Medieval II and Kingdoms, and I disabled the advisor when I loaded my campaign, before entering said battle.
I do not know how to launch the game as administrator using steam, and I don't think there lies the problem.
My system.log file in the Medieval II Total War folder shows me alot of random files missing. The log below is not the system.log from the crash, but the most recent one after deleting the "strings" in the mods/americas/data/text (americas = renamed Third Age mod folder). By the way, the strings files are back again, I guess they're like a cache or automatically generated?
