Default How to Train Your Dragon

'Refill!', shouted Ulf as he slammed the shot glass on the bar. The bartender was a young lad, hired only days ago. Ulf knew every damned employee in this -pile of a bar, after all, he was here every day. Ulf took the shot glass and swallowed the northern vodka like it was nothing, when every other man would get serious throat burns after drinking as much as he did. 'Refill!', shouted he again, but this time the bartender was confused. 'I think you've had e-enough, s-sir.'. The boy refused to serve him a drink, the biggest sin in Ulf's book. Ulf drew his sword, pointing at the lad's chest. 'I think I'll know when I've had enough! It's when I'm not God-damn awake! Is that clear boy?!?!' The bouncers drew their swords and the gathered folks looked nervous. The tension in the bar suddenly rose. There would have been blood spilled if a man didn't run inside with a paper in hand.

'Dragonseeds! Lord Daemon and Lord Jacaerys are summoning the dragonseeds!!', yelled the man who ran inside. He was waving a paper, a copy of the Royal Decree by the Black Council. Ulf sheated his sword and sat down. Grief had overcome him. Dragonseed. He had heard this word before. It was the reason his step-father hated him. Some fancy noble laid claim to his wife before he did. It was the reason Ulf was beat up by the step-father every day. 'The hell with 'em!', shouted Ulf, not caring what he was saying anymore. He was obviously smashed from drink. Maybe I can have some use of this, for the first time ever.

Ulf stood up and walked out of the bar, the bouncers gave him a cross look. He went home and took a backpack, taking only what he needed most, his sword and a bottle of Arbor Red. He had heard of Silverwing, the dragon of the good queen Alysanne. Rumour said that it's beauty was unparalleled in the moonlight. 'Take a hair of the dog that bit you.', mummered Ulf as he took a sip straight out of the bottle before heading out to Dragonmont.

He arrived at the dragonmont but there were no dragons in sight. They all appeared to be out, possibly hunting.

'Damn, not another one!', mummered Ulf as he walked into yet another empty cave. How can dragons dissapear? This was his fifth, perhaps sixth inspected cave and they were all empty. As it seemed, the dragons were out hunting. Water dripped from the ceiling of the humongous cavern he was currently in, the largest he has been into. In the corner, four hundred or so yards from the entrance, a large hole was dug in the ground. The markings on the floor were dragon claws, it was a dragon nest. The radius must have been larger than a hundred feet. I bet this is Silverwing's. It's too small for other dragons. There was nothing Ulf could do but wait for the dragon's return. It was already getting dark outside, the Sun was setting. The daylight would last for half hour at the most, meaning the dragon should return from hunting too. Hmm, I can't stand in his nest, he's going eat me. Ulf found a ledge on the right side of the spaceous cavern and climbed it. If the dragon was to come in preocuppied with food, it would probably not see him. He laid down on the ledge to be less visible and took the wine bottle out. I probably shouldn't be drunk for this, he pondered if he should take a sip. Just a small sip. But what he considered a small sip was a full glass for the rest. He laid on his back, trying to get some sleep before the dragon returns.

The dragon returned with a roar, startling Ulf. He landed with such force that he knocked Ulf over.

The cavern quaked as Silverwing landed with such force, waking up Ulf, still in hangover. The tremor knocked over his bottle, angrying him. Bloody hell, that was my last bottle. He fell of the ledge but luckily landed on his legs. Ulf moved carefully, his knees half-bent, prepared to jump to the side if need be. He knew there was no joke with a dragon. 'There you are, beauty. I was expecting you.', he spoke, as if he thought he could charm a dragon. 'I'm what they call a dragonseed, born of the first night law. They say it's a blessing, that the Targaryens are more akin to gods than men, but for me it's been a curse. A hard life from the start, suffering from the hands of my step-father. Even my mother thought of abandoning me.', Ulf let down a tear, almost like he was spilling his guts to a beast. He watched the dragon, wondering if he could understand him or was he speaking for nothing. Ulf drew his sword slowly, not wanting to disturb the dragon. He sliced his palm shallow, letting blood drip out. 'They say this is dragon blood but every man I killed has bled red.' This moment was either his death or rebirth, this beast being the only thing he has left to cling on. He reached out with the cut hand, attempting to caress Silverwing. 'What say you, is my blood worthy?'

((Ulf has +3 charisma and +3 survival, I don't know if that counts here))

The dragon ignored him completely, preferring to tear apart it's meal.

OOC: Nope, none fo them count and your are going to need to do a lot better. The base roll is 1/50 before modifiers. You need to do a lot of RP to raise that chance up.
