    Default log folder problem

I have a little problem. My Hard Disk broke down so I had to by an other one. I have installed M II TW again but the game is not generating the error scripts in the log file. Any suggestions why this can be. An other issue is that the system is denying me to save a changed registry file and the CFG file inside the mod folder, only on desktop.

    Cheers

You need to be logged in as the administrator, then set the whole medieval ii total war folder to 'archive' - right click the folder, choose properties, unmark the 'read only' tick box, click 'apply' and click 'ok'

What registry file are you talking about?

Error log - the default log (system.log.txt) only generates main messages. A change would require an entry in the CFG file. Manual entries in the main CFG fiel get removed at every game start and making the CFG file read only isn't advisable. Mods on the other hand usually have a [log] section in their CFG file where you can set the log to trace.
