Default the AI campaign expansion, and historical accuracte comparision

hello everyone i am currently in the stages of planning my mini mod for medieval 2 for my own use and anyone elses if they so choose to use it.

it will be a small mod but hopefully be as good as the one i had for rome which i never really got to play much as i couldnt keep up with patches and re doing it :/

anyways in the game right now i had spain steamroll france and denmark steamroll the hre with milan expanding through most of germany and france with a massive empire.
also venice control north italy and france has been wiped out mid game.

i play as england and havent really expanded anywhere except scotland i wanted to see how the ai plays out and i think it needs modded.

i would like to achieve historically accurate expansion (or as close to as possible) if the player doesnt get involved in any way but i know little of medieval europe/asia from 1080-1500

i have made a little map alterations so far which i can find here http://img75.imageshack.us/my.php?image=med2mapqz2.jpg

as u can see i have added a few more starting settlements to different factions to try and halt thier steamrolling expansion to areas they didnt really hold in the time period.

as u can see also i gave the turks antioch as i believe they held the area during the first crusade am i correct?
the reason i have given certain factions other provinces is to try and block the expansion into unrealistic areas by maybe taking the rebel settlements there.
examples of such are the papal states having north italy to stop milan and venice becoming too powerful and buffing the hre and france.
blocking denmarks steamroll of north europe is also a priority which is why i have given the hre hamburg tricks i learned from trying to balance my original mod and combined with some diplomacy tweaking i may reach my historically accurate goal.

so which areas did factions like the turks control? from what i gather the border of medieval europe ramained mostly unchanged from 1080-1500 (apart from spains total control over iberia) and the turk control of asia minor and egypt and islam dominating the east.

now this is where i seek help can anyone help me with a map of medieval times to illustrate which kingdom held which territorys for the starting period and one for how the borders changed come the year 1500?

thanks in advance and give some feedback and maps i can use or just tell me who control's where and who fought who.
