House Corbray of Heart's Home is an old but impoverished house. It would be Corwyn Corbray who would spear-head the Andal invasion, as one of the chiefs who sailed from Andalos to land upon the Fingers in the Vale. Corwyn would defeat the two quarrelling local Kings, marrying their wife and daughter, and making himself Lord of the Five Fingers. His descendants would rule as Kings until defeated by the Royces, who were in turn defeated by the Arryns.
Since then the Corbrays have served the Arryns dutifully and intermarried with their Andal overlords. The Corbrays have lost much of their ancestral territory, until at last they have been reduced to Heart's Home, their present seat, in the heart of the Vale.
The previous Lord, Perwyn Corbray, married the daughter of Lord Rodrik Arryn and Princess Daella Targaryen. This union made him the goodbrother to the next Lord of the Eyrie and King Viserys Targaryen, who took Aemma Arryn for his Queen. It was by all means a splendid match, a sign of House Arryn's high esteem for the Corbrays and Lord Perwyn's own standing in Westeros as the cream of the Andal elite. The excellence of this alliance was consolidated promptly as Lady Augusta proved a dutiful wife and provided him with six children before he expired, waylaid by clansmen on the High Road.
Ser Gwayne Corbray (Born 98 AC, +3 Wealth, +3 Battles, +2 Logistician) succeeded his father as Lord of Heart's Home and head of House Corbray. From his early days seeking to assist his father to his more recent determined efforts to avenge the latter's death Ser Gwayne has emerged as a vigorous and brilliant commander of men, excellent himself both as a warrior in his own right and as a strategic operator capable of wielding large bodies of men against his foes.
He married Lady Farra Frey, daughter of a rich Riverlander house only to happy to make its way into the kith and kin of royalty, and had by her his sons Jaime and Forrest and a daughter, Sabine.
Ser Corwyn Corbray (Born 101 A.C, +2 Assassin, +3 Pillager, +2 Survival) grew up quite naturally overshadowed by his elder brother. At first he occupied himself with his studies and travels, whoring and drinking his way from the Arbor to the Wall and then across the sea to Braavos and Pentos and several other Free Cities. He became a well known figure at court in the latter years of his uncle's reign and was chosen as a tutor and companion for his cousin Prince Jacaerys, it being thought expedient that the Prince be taught by one as worldly as Corwyn.
Lord Corbray has four other siblings: his sisters Polianne, Corra and Aemma, and a younger brother, Qyle, who is not quite yet a man grown.
