I really need windowed mode

I know it's running in windowed borderless mode, but I really would like it to just be windowed mode where I don't have to alt-tab out of it. Especially because we are doing a lot of playtesting and restarting campaigns it will make the time required to be focused purely on EB less which means I'll be able to click through turns while focusing on more important things.

I changed the cfg files for both EB2 and the MTW2 config file to be windowed but it till isn't running in windowed mode. It has worked in the past with other mods and I don't know why EB2 is different. Any help?

Alt tab out before the intro starts/loading screen starts when you first start playing

I tried alt-tab like half a second after hitting the go button on the launcher but it didn't change anything, also tried before the into video to no avail, which time specifically do you mean?

Are you using steam? I'm using non-steam I just alt tab right after I start up EB then switch back in once I hear that the intro movie is done. (it starts in windowed mode)

Also try deleting your mtw2 cfg or renaming it with bu for back up on the end of it.

Add windowed = 1 to under the [VIDEO] header of your m2tw.cfg file, and set it as read-only. Even if you have already added windowed = 1, check again to see if it's still there. I've had the game randomly undo my alterations to the .cfg file for no discernable reason, until I set it to read-only.
