Castamere, Seat of House Reyne

Castamere, the seat of House Reyne. The castle is nestled into a valley that is closed off by a wall reminiscent of the Bloody Gate in the Vale. Further into the canyon, lies the fortress of Castamere. Decorated with stone lions and House Reyne's banners, the castle protects the mines where the famous gold of the Westerlands comes from.

A raven arrives from House Crakehall, requesting trade.

Tarbeck banners are seen cresting over the hilltop, and a small party of riders can be seen from Castamere. The riders include the aged Lord Tion, and they request and audience with Lord Reyne.

The Tarbeck men are led into the fortress of Castamere and taken to the entrance of the mine, where Lord Damion Reyne and his son Tytos are managing the work. After waiting near the entrance to the mine for several minutes, Lord Damion and Tytos appear in the depths and pass the stone lions guarding the entrance. After adjusting to the light, Lord Damion approaches Lord Tion. "It's been a long while since I have had the pleasure of hosting you and yours, Lord Tion. Tell me, what has brought you to Castamere. Do you seek aid?"

Tion initially squints to cope with the darkness, struggling to see. Eventually, when Lord Reyne emerges to greet him, he chuckles slightly.

My eyesight is terrible as it is, Lord Reyne. Pausing, he gestured to his sons who had accompanied him. They all bowed in turn. Clearing his throat, he continued. Business has brought me here. Something is coming, Lord Reyne. The King cannot live forever, unfortunately. He paused again, letting the ominous silence speak for him.

"Alright then. Come we will speak in the castle. Gods know how long I've been in there." Leading the way, he takes the party into the castle, seeing to it that the Tarbeck men were quartered. After this, he takes his son and the Tarbeck family to the hall where he ushers out the guards and waits for his vassal to speak once the great doors have shut.

Tion followed Reyne into the castle, along with his sons. Once they entered the hall, he waited until the Reyne men had left, and spoke carefully.

Dark times come, Lord Reyne. He merely said, before folding his arms. Where will we stand?

Very well, Lord Reyne. I shall follow you, whichever side we choose. Pausing slightly, he cleared his throat. Now, onto other matters...

Tarbeck smiled at his lords impatience, and shook his head.

No, it is not bad, my Lord. But all my sons remain unwed, and I must find wives for them.
