Well, if some people like rickie would be sad about leaving the game is understand that and so imo there should be at least some degree of veto against a restart.

My major gripe is this, people: if you're gonna play a country test your openening moves in Singleplayer and don't be a ing child and ragequit if you lose some provinces. We actually had a well-balanced game until several players dropped or switched because they can't take a setback.

I don't mind if it is restarted. As much fun as it is for me to do a WC in a multiplayer game, I do tend to enjoy it if the game lasts a while.

I can sub on the 12th, 19th and 26th of July before I leave for another 6 months or so, if I'm not needed for subbing I will be choosing nations around the world to strengthen (if that's okay). Or I'll go out and enjoy a brisk stroll in the Sunday evening air.

I'm agreed with Poach on Europe only. If we had sufficient players I'd be all for people playing outside it, but we don't. We couldn't even fill Europe last time.

Europe only still includes the Ottomans and Muscovy, allowing for possibly terrible scenarios. Persia/Bahmanis/others are decent picks to potentially slowdown anyone who might play Ottomans/Muscovy/Colonial Nation in Asia.

For a balanced game, I'd advise this: Iberian player, France/Burgundian player, British Isles player, Scandinavian player, German region player, Italian player, Hungary-Poland-Teutonic Order-Lithuanian player, Muscovy. That fills eight vital slots, with easy-moderate colonial potential for six of the region slots. If the Ottomans are to exist, something must be in the east. The Mamluks aren't a solid counter because it is like a France/Burgundy matchup, but with the caveat that they can both awkwardly expand and will either ally or end up being eternal enemies, with the death of one paving the way for the other to grow securely. Just my thoughts.

Kinda agree with Rickie. You will always have someone on the Eastern border who has basically unlimited lands to expand into. As long as there are at least more of them it should be fine I guess. The last thing you'd want is say that players can't be the Ottomans or Muscowy so instead we get a Poland that expands into China through Persia. Not sure which is worse. And as long as people are willing to take risks and pvp against players to slow them down, there shouldn't be a problem at all. Though tbh, I think in the session of Sunday we've had quite some pvp going on, so if that spirit gets carried over to the next game, I think we're set.

We always used to be plagued by alliances, but I think we've all played enough games to know that sometimes your early game friend becoming an enemy or someone you don't need to help is okay. It keeps the game interesting. Sometimes it will always be beneficial, like a Persia allied to Austria to fight the Ottomans, but the Netherlands doesn't always have to ally France -- it can befriend a ton of nations, especially with the new fort system.

Imo aan ottoman player belongs in that list too. Otherwise a Muscowy is going to grow way out of control. Same thing the other way round as rickie proved this game.
