    Default How to edit or remove Hun invasion?

    Hello, I'm wanting to make changes to a mod I've made, so that there is no Hun invasion or that the Huns would gain less troops.

    I have done few changes, with no success. For example decreased the values for Huns in cdir_military_generator_template_ratios table and cdir_military_generator_unit _qualities. I also tried changing the campaign start date, but even when adding 100+ years or decreasing some years there still emerge Huns in the beginning turns of the campaign.

    I'm left with one option of decreasing their unit strength. I can't seem to find where I can actually decrease their invasion troops or completely make it so that there are no Huns, without removing their faction, since I think it might cause a non working mod.

    Start pos files shouldn't be effecting here, is what I think, since the Huns invade even when they have no generals or land units at start pos files. They are so emerging faction that appear every time after a few turns in the beginning of the campaign's start.

    I'd actually like if they could be removed.

    I've tried looking into it but eventually just came up with mods that severely weaken them.

    I think I found the solution to this. I tried it and nothing went down during around 15 turns. All I did was delete the Hun faction from the start pos factions file, it didn't give a crash in game or in bob. I had to also remove the start pos technologies and victory conditions and generals units etc. of course from the Huns faction in start pos files, since otherwise it didn't let me delete the faction. So after this the campaign didn't have the emerging Huns faction.

    I will post an updated version for this mod a bit later, where there are no Huns invading after testing.

    I think something like that perhaps. Not very well known to me what you mean with scripted special stacks. I meant editing the Huns since they are emerging on their own, even when made non playable. However removing the Huns faction from the start pos files, did the job I was after. Still it could be useful to be able to edit such files that control their emerging on their own. Any idea where such files situate?

    Isn't removing them from startpos removing them totally?

    What you mean with "emerging" btw? I guess you mean "spawning" stacks full of elites (Tier 3)

    And what you expect lol game is called "Attila"

    "Scripted special stacks" is for AI Huns when Attila takes the charge of the Huns (comes of age at 20 which comes to 420 AD, after that)
    They are filled and mixed with elite units (20/20) and will be spawned every x turns

    You kill one = New one comes

    This continues till Attila dies of natural causes (445 AD I guess) or if you can kill him (need to kill more than once at a time)

    I meant precisely that they spawn on their own, and wanted them not do that for a mod. It happened also when I had removed their units and generals from start pos, so that I meant they emerge even when there are none at the start. But I was after getting perhaps in the future to edit their spawning values. Still now that I got rid of the Huns even later in the game after removing their faction from start pos was enough to get what I wanted to happen.
