Child Birth and Adoptions

- Frequency As a rule each female character over the age of 14 may receive one childbirth roll per in game year. Only mains or rolled auxes may request a roll. Birth Rolls One per year 1-5: Complications -Secondary roll 1-9: child dies 10-14: child and mother die 15-19: mother dies, child lives 20: Catastrophic failure (see below) --Tertiary Roll 1-8: Child dies, mother barren 9-15: Mother dies, child has defect (dwarfism, useless limb, etc) 16-20: Child has defect, mother barren 6-20: Successful birth Chance of Twins: 3/100 - must be requested for. Child Defects: 1-5 minor mental issues. Character can only claim 1 Trait every 10 years instead of every 5. 6-10 major mental issues. Character is severely mentally disabled andcannot act independently. May not take any traits. 11-15 minor physical issue. Character is restricted to +1 in Survival, Duel and Joust traits. 16-20 major physical issue. Character either cannot walk, cannot use one of their arms, or is a Dwarf. Characters may not take any traits in Joust or Duel, cannot partake in Jousts or Duels. Child Deaths One roll every five years until age 15 for a total of three opportunities of death: 1-3: Death 4-20: Life Gifted Rolls Roll 1/50 for every child born. Gifted children will not have any death rolls for their childhood as well as the player's choice of one of the following skills: 1. +3 trait points when the child comes of age (for a max of 15 trait points possible for a gifted character) 2. Warg 3. Greenseer 4. A request for something different, mod approved. As for any survival roll, birth roll chances are capped at 19/20, as there is always a slight chance of death in childbirth, even in the real world.

For now, it'll be a -5 for Targ characters but coming on Friday, I'll probably lift is assuming a couple more Targs, legitimate or bastard, get killed off which is highly likely.
