Before, removing Music.dat and Music.idx in mods\EBII\data\sounds folder did the trick.
But now it doesn't. Are there any steps I missed?

I don't know, did you edit descr_sounds_music.txt?
It's not just the Music.dat and Music.idx files, either. You also have to delete the Events.dat and Events.idx files, which are located in the same folder (i.e. "Sounds" within "Data" folder). All four of these files (i.e. all the music and events files) are automatically regenerated based on what descr_sounds_music says and what mp3s you've chosen to play. In my experience, deleting only the Music.dat and Music.idx files has never worked. You have to delete the Events.dat and Events.idx files along with them. They basically work in tandem.
Thanks for the reply. Yes, did everything to the word.
Music in campaign map changed successfully. But added music in battle map did not play at all...

Hello. If you meant this http://www.mediafire.com/download/uy...sic+Submod.rar
I viewed descr_sounds_music.txt and it's for RTW. Other stuff is like your music files aren't likely to solve my problem...
I found out added music worked in Custom Battle... not in campaign battle...
I think I know exactly what is going on here. Which regions are you fighting in? Are you currently playing a campaign as the Romans? It seems like you've only changed the music for the Roman faction. For instance, you've left the "WESTERN GREEK MUSIC" section completely untouched (i.e. you haven't changed any mp3 files in that section or others, only the Roman one). If you only change the Roman music, then territories that are cultural "Roman" are going to be the only territories that will have that music on the battle map. The second you fight a battle in a Greek, Celtic, nomadic, eastern, or Semitic territory then different music will play according to each section the descr_sounds_music.txt file.
I honestly wish you had shared this file from the very beginning. I would have spotted this problem of yours right away. You need to edit and replace the mp3s in EVERY section if you want your new music to play in every region on the map. Otherwise only provinces in Italy and a few other places will play the "Roman" music you've created.
I mean this:

Yeah, credit to b0Gia for having a sound mod that incorporates RTW vanilla music into EB II. Those Jeff Van Dyck tunes are classics.
This sounds suspicious. It sounds like you've done something wrong while editing the descr_sounds_music.txt file, although I could be wrong about that. Could you share an excerpt or example of how you edited that txt file to incorporate new mp3 files to play on the battle map? Perhaps we can spot an error if you made any.

Nice of you to spare time. I only play Roma faction so far. In Battle map section, the game has been playing EB2 music only, even the EB2 music names were all changed...
Hey the website doesn't receive the text attachment I uploaded, it says "[IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2038"]"
Nevertheless use screenshot instead xP

Wheeeee. That does it doesn't that! And I just figured out that the two southern most regions of the peninsula in game are Ελλάς lot.
Thanks for the help. See you later sometime.
Glad I could help.![]()
I think by far the easiest way of doing this is simply finding the folder where the music files are, renaming the audio-file you want in the game, to the same as the one you want to replace, and then drag it into the folder, and overwriting the old one. It's crude but it works. At least it did in EB1, and it would surprise me if it didn't still.
