Is anyone else annoyed how as the game progress everywhere becomes an infertile apocalypse? the 'fertile' regions of rome, spain north africa become just as bad as the rest. It makes a lot of sense for the infertile apocalypse to go along with the huns advance through pillaging and burning but late game with attila dead the huns defeated and half the world factions destroyed it just seems annoying. A simple solution would be to have the fertility increase after Attila dies, However there would be no good explanation for why this would be happening. So I think that it would be a good idea for a technology to be added in the civic tree that adds a function to fields, enclosed fields, and irrigated fields that allows the to increase the fertility of the region. This would also solve the fact that ive experienced myself that that line of farm buildings are useless late game as they provide greater benefits for fertile regions but everywhere is practically infertile by late game so... This is also historically practical as there was the three field solution of planting legumes which added nitrogen to the soil which allowed other plants to grow better. This was a common technique that was used in early medieval europe.
