    Default Attila Campaign Map Progress

    With the mod tools finally working as of today, I figured I'd start a thread so people can track the progress. I'll try to keep it updated with screenshots over time (hopefully the process won't be too time consuming - I'm hoping to have all factions in within the next week or two, depending on a few other aspects).

    Rome's Possessions in Italy





    The Roman icon used here is from the awesome Haegemonia mod for Rome II (permission granted by the gracious Melcor for out Attila version).

    EDIT - Just so there's no confusion - that's the Western Roman Empire still up in Cisalpine Gaul. Doing our UI we switched its icon out with vanilla Rome 2's Rome.

    Good to see the new units in use as well, are you planning to use them in garrisons as well? Also do we have any idea on the sort of garrisons we plan to have with this new system yet?

    Garrisons will come in with the buildings that Ron has started working on while I do the new startpos.

    All garrisons will obviously be made with our units. The goal, when we get to that point, will be to set capital regions to have decent strength forces (the drawback there is we have to give to both player and AI) while upon conquest, a new faction will have a significantly smaller force upon conversion.

    I know I say it a lot, but those buildings are really going to be key to this project.

    For sure, I was just wondering if you had thought through the actual composition yet, or if we will deal with that as the buildings are introduced. Just curious really

    At some point, I'd also like to implement defense scripts for some of the major factions. Or at least Rome. This would essentially give AI Rome reserve stacks like in HaTG.

    I think all major factions, maybe even some tiny ones for small factions.

    First family tree of the Julia family for Rome. Need to do something about the campaign art as I don't want a crown in the Republican period, but working alright at this point in time. Took me three hours and I was making the dumbest mistake...

    Awesome progress guys, keep up the good work and it will be a masterpiece!

    for Political power and control: I think they should be a bit higher for that time period

    Political factions aren't in yet. This is just some small possessions for Rome in Italy

    I think vanilla Attila's defense script/s not working as well as Rome 2's..

    Just one of the too many stupid problems of AI making me get bored of game too fast, or not play at all.
    I believe this mod won't have such problems, as you are aware/experienced of it already.

    Some updates. A lot of progress has been made n the last few days with roughly 110 factions added into our campaign map.

    Italy, Iberia, and Greece










    The Seleucid Empire








    Carthage






    Not bad for vaporware, in my view. (joking)

    Yea I remember Balearic slingers, but didn't know such faction existed, that soil was always under the banner of Carthage (for game)

    Well with AE we are aiming to make everything a little more devolved if you understand my meaning? Less units for each faction but a larger amount of AOR units that can only be recruited in certain areas.
