    Default Barbarian Camp lag

    Hi all!

I can easly run the game on the highest graphic level with no lags ( maybe some times a little bit but it's almost unnoticeable ) except for battles inside barbarian camps in which it clearly lags when i meet the enemy and start to fight.

I've tried to investigate (tried even for curiousity to fight a costum battle on the lowest graphic level deployng just 1 vs 1 unit) but always had the same result.

On the other hand if i try to launch a battle full of units on the highest graphic level in an open field, or cities, huge cities, camps ( of other cultures ), i have no problems as always.

    cheers

I have noticed this issue on a few occasions as well, particularly in the mid-sized settlements. I am quite convinced that the issue is related to pathfinding and collision of the 3D models. During the middle of one particular siege, my game suddenly "paused" and could only render about 1 frame per second! It turned out to not be a graphical error, but rather CPU related. What happened was a single AI cavalry unit got stuck in one of the models while routing and could not get free. He just kept "jittering" around in the same place, barely visible clipping in a rooftop. My missile troops were unable to hit the trapped unit. Because the AI was trying to get out, it seemed to have caused some sort of "infinite loop" in the CPU calculation that nearly crashed the game. Perhaps the person who designed the European settlements could re-check them for pathfinding / collision?

Other than that, the settlements are awesome, and I would say 90% of the time there are no issues at all.
