King Dain was surprised to see Bard and the armies of Dale returning North. Welcome them though, he did. Out of safety precautions the King had to ask for the intentions of Bard, given unusual movement of Bard close to one of our enemies. Messages went back and forth between the King and Bard before, but it was after reading this particular one, Dain lost his temper. "BEREFT!!?? We BEREFT them from their homelands!!?? It is by OUR doing they are wandering the wild!?" Dain jumped off of his throne, grabbed his hammer and smashed it down on the pathway. It was such a heavy smash that every Dwarven Miner in the very depths of the Lonely Mountain could hear it. Even some folk over at the Iron Hills claimed to have perceived some form of earthquake, not knowing the King's ferocious outburst. One of the King's Guards quickly held his hand beneath the Arkenstone, as even that stone seemed to shake and nearly fall off of the Throne.

Even though the reaction of the King seemed exaggerated, all Dwarves understood. Everyone knows the tale of the Noble King, our King Dain. It was once a peaceful life, Dwarf and Dalian could live next to each other. They would trade and share their wealth, until the Days of War arrived. Peace was not to last and so even the once befriended Dwarves and Dalians grew cautious of one another. Dain, our Noble King, offered the Dalians a peaceful way out. There is no need for war. Abandon your homelands and march to your friends. In return we will gift you our homelands in the Blue Mountains. But none of it was accepted. Bard chose for war, and so we would go to war. But right before the Dwarves were fully prepared to launch their attack, Bard came back to the Mountain. He begged, begged for peace and the old offer Dain made him. Highly unusual to come back to an old offer once you have just chosen the path of war, the Dwarves weren't even willing to listen to Bard, except for Dain. The Noble King of the Dwarves approached Bard and smiled. "There is no need for war, my friend. It is forgiven."

And so Bard's betrayal to the good will of the Dwarves feels even worse than a normal declaration of war. But it matters not, the Iron Forges have been running round the clock lately and Axes and Armour are in plenty. We will take up our arms and let them taste our Iron. No more NAPs, ceasefires, or good will, there can be only war!!

Even though I cannot agree with some of the statements mentioned above, and have my own side of the story, I am glad of the outcome. Finally some action in the north, it's been far too dull up there. Almost felt like the Dwarves lost their war-like nature over the years and became kind of ordinary folk taking delight in tending their gardens, playing a game of chess from time to time, and taking naps as often as possible.

That sounds like a very nice life Sadly, it is not by choice. The Easterlings offered us peace for 15 turns, which still holds until turn 32. In retrospect, we regret accepting that...

Well there are no bad feelings or anything from my side, I'm just trying to get a nice RP and 'imagine' how a Dwarf would react Truth is that I made you an offer at the start of the HS, which you declined. When I was about to attack you, you contacted me again for an agreement anyways. I just mixed that into my RP.

Had you not accepted that peace you would have been ground into the dust. You are lucky the proud Easterlings allowed your culture to live for 15 more years before we vanquish you from the annals of history.

Well, the tone matters a lot in this case. I'm pretty sure I was polite and not forcing you into unreasonable terms. I did make a clear statement to all factions that the Dwarves wouldn't ally with anyone because it would not suit the victory conditions. In the end, we are all enemies. Even Team Easterling and Team Men.

I beg to differ. Luckily you now get the chance to realize it, with some help of course But you seem certain of victory. There will be no complaints about AR or whatever, then?

OotMM and OoG subbed. HE and SE played. Harad & Rhun subbed.

Only event worth noting is that HE's friends, Eriador, assisted in the storming of Ost-in-Edhil (rebel). Eraidor's assistance ensured casualties would stay low for the victors.

I don't mind waiting. The later I get my dreaded 4 turns the better. Kinda starting to be a chore. But why is BlackWolf not playing? It's starting te be weird you subbing him... And I would like to see themzr play his own turns. Otherwise, it's a 3 player game, which is a bit ridiculous considering how many factions are left.

TheBlackWolf is away for 2 weeks as of May 27th. Themzr has a disk issue i think.

I'd rather wait for them to play as well but didn't want to hold up the hotseat. I'll wait a little bit longer and hopefully one or both will be ready to play.
