With Eriador's crappy units and AR I didn't stand a chance against OOTMM + OOGB while I also had your armies raiding my southern regions. So I left my lands. Time will tell if this sacrifice pays off for me, or if I'm making a big mistake by "doing a Dale".

You're free to make whatever decision you want, but don't use my "raiding" as an excuse. There was no raiding. I didn't send a single unit anywhere near your lands. I was fully content to fight Rohan and leave you alone.

Edit - or maybe you were saying that you thought I would be raiding you in the future? Perhaps, but it would have taken me a long time to defeat Rohan (if I was able to do so at all). By then your war with the orcs would likely have been decided.

Hey guys.
My life has worsened significantly recently and now I've finally made the decision that enough is enough. I need to fix my situation and basically change all my habits and routines. This will take time and effort and therefore I will unfortunately be unable to continue any hotseats here at TWCenter for the time being. I have already been very late with my turns recently, and currently it looks like this will be getting even worse if I try to continue playing.
I will likely come back one day, but for now I need to take a break from all this.
It's been a blast playing with you guys. I really mean it. And don't think I mean it any less just because I plan to post this post in several threads.

This community here in the Third Age Thread has been like a home for me as I have gotten to known some of you guys very well and I'm really grateful for that. You are a nice and friendly group of people.


I can still play my latest turn if you want me to. I will do it as soon as I can. Likely and hopefully tomorrow.

We all understand and hopefully no-one will hold something like this against you. I think you have been a fun, valuable member of Third Age Hotseating at the least and always enjoyed playing with you. Hopefully you do return but make sure you put your real life priorities first, something I think many people fail to realize while hotseating. I'll miss playing alongside you and can't wait till your return!

Well, if my enemies are going to defeat me, they are going to have to beat every single unit I own in a single battle. Over 7600 orcs and men combine on the fields south of Isengard, most of whom are good or elite quality. This was the only way I could combine my forces, which IMO is the only way for me to ever have a chance of doing something other than sitting at Isengard and going bankrupt.

I didn't test the AR, but there's a good chance that I lose this gamble. We'll see what happens.

It looks like setting up alliances is bugged. No clue how that happened and I have never seen it before. Anyone have any experience with that?

I tried using diplomats from SE, Harad and Rhun to offer alliances to various factions (of whom they are not at war with, and they are not at war with any of their allies either) and the option isnt in the menu of diplomacy choices.

Alliance of Men seems to be allied with both Elves and Easterlings. Now the game engine rightfully refuses any more of this nonsense!
