I usually like to play my own music in the background instead of the games. I like songs that go with the medieval theme like carl orff - O fortuna. But I also like some classic rock that could kinda go with it like led zeppelin - no quarter or the immigrant song(God that would go perfect with a viking campaign). Does any one else do this? If so could you recommend some other songs for me? I only have a few that I could think of and it's getting old hear the same ones over and over again. Thanks.

i prefer movie sound tracks
cause they dont have lyrics so they dont distrub the mood of the game.

I used to play Dark Ages of Camelot ( a MMORPG for those who don't know ) and I'd listen to a band called Tristania (from Norway - black metal), and it seemed to fit right in with the game, it blended black metal with opera and non-metal instruments such as the violin and piano and they do an amazing job of it.

Because of some old late night gaming habits I used to have I almost always play games with no sound fx at all and just headphones playing my music of choice.

I usually listen to Amon Amarth / Ensiferum. xD It justs blends perfectly with my Dannish campaign. Seeing a unit of Norse Axemen (sp ? Forgot the name xD) charging while listening to Amon Amarth - Bloodshed is priceless.
