    Default Question about 1 hit point system

    Hello everyone,

    As you guys introduced your 1 hit point system with the combat mod for attila, I tried out. And I dont think it works because when a guy gets stabbed from his back he doesnt even get affected. Is there something I dont know about?
    I mean combat in this game makes sense its not bad at all except for this issue. If you guys can nail that It would be awesome.

    Most likely either the hit didn't land (bad luck on the the hit roll) or his armour saved him. Armour has a HUGE impact in a 1hp system.

    Pretty much hit the nail on the head there. We cannot script in a new combat system, just because its 1 HP does not mean soldiers die on an attack instantly, the combat we will eventually use will be slower than vanilla. If we could create an actual hit box on soldiers that mean they took wounds when they should (such as a javelin to the face which really ruins immersion for me) then trust me we would. But alas it is still the same engine.

    Might be redundant given what others have already said, but the single hitpoint/multi hit point systems respectively have nothing to do with how attack animations play out. What you observed was a secondary attack, the type of animation any additional participants in a small group fight might resolve to. These have a low visual precision - as in they don't always end up hitting the target in question. I hope that helps.
