    Icon4 Some useful MediaFire Features (Like Auto Update/Sync)

    Hello ppl,

    I know some of you using Steam workshop for this, but I also know that most ppl doesn't like Steam at all (As I am)
    So, here is a Guide for you to use some Mediafire features.

    But know that, this won't work when Author/modder changes the link of the File/Mod.
    Mostly we/they don't.

    1st step;
    Open a Mediafire account

    2nd step;
    Login, download and install Mediafire desktop app (login there as well)
    Also you will choose where/which folder the Mediafire sync files will be in your computer.

    Then what?! Well that's where guide starts, dont worry, will be a short one.

    1st of all, I'll take Radious TW mod for reference to this guide.

    Ok so the link of Radious mod is this:
    http://www.mediafire.com/download/28...+Total+War.rar

    Click on it
    Click to view content:

    And then click on "Follow"
    You will get a message that you are following that file, and "+" will turn into "-"

    Then go to your mediafire account, click to "Following"
    And be sure those Stars are yellow (by clicking on them)

    Okay that's it, now whenever there is an update, and if you logged into Mediafire desktop app, it will automatically sync (update) the file/s you are following.

    Default Question-Answer (Additional info)

    Question: How will I know there is an update and sync?

    Answer:

    Click to view content:

    You will see different symbol than "Tick" on the system tray icon of Mediafire desktop.
    When you click on it, you will see notifications like these, and "Syncing" something it will say (instead Sync complete);

    Question: How will I cancel "Following" ?

    Answer:

    Click to view content:

    Simply click to "X" and then confirm.

    Question: Is it possible to use this feature for Uploading mods (or new versions) easily as well?

    Answer: Yes it is and I'm using it as well.
    Only thing you need to do is "drag and drop" or basicly "copy paste" to the Mediafire folder, and if it's a new version that you are uploading, confirm the replacement of files.

    KEEPING THE SAME DOWNLOAD LINK
    Question: How will I keep the same Download link? (for Uploaders/Modders)

    Answer: You must have the same file name with your previous upload, then it will ask you if you want to replace the files or not. (while uploading the new one)

    Question 2: But I changed the version name, how can I have the same name?

    Answer 2
    : Simple, make a folder with ur mod's name, and put the new one in. So outer file will have the same name.
    Or, just change the name of the Archive file (Rar/Zip whatever you use doesn't matter)

    Moved from Radious Total War - a gem like this needs to be in a place dedicated to this stuff.
