For those who don't know me, I've been hotseating at TATW for the last five years and hosted over ten hotseats. Until now, I never thought of playing Westeros due to the incompleteness of the mod, but after playing it for the last couple weeks it has come to me as an extraordinary game with lots of potential.
ANYONE CAN JOIN!
Background Information -
Since we are going to use the New Beginning Mod by Matto16, I've decided to base this around the War of the Five Kings(obviously from the title).
After the dreadful execution of Lord Eddard Stark, his son and rightful Heir, Robb Stark, leads an open rebellion against the crown and have claimed the North to be independent. Stannis Baratheon, Lord of Dragonstone, younger brother to the late Robert Baratheon, but older brother to his brother Renly has claimed the Iron Irone due to rightful inheritance as well as revealing Joffery is a bastard son of Queen Cersei and her brother Ser Jamie. Renly Baratheon, Lord of the Stormlands with the backing of the Storm Lords and House Tyrell has put claim to the Iron Throne even though he is fourth in-line to the throne. Balon Greyjoy, Lord of the Iron Islands has put forth independence of the crown and claims himself to be King of the Iron Isles, and shall take his throne the Iron way.
Winning Conditions -
Your faction must own Kings Landing and the remaining factions either be defeated by right of conquest or pledge vassalage to the King of the Westeros
or
Your faction must own 55% of the map, and the remaining factions must pledge vassalage to you.

Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
ADMIN HAS FINAL WORD, NO COMPLAINING ABOUT UNFAIRNESS.
If you have a problem, PM the admin.
PM or VM the next player as you post your turn on the thread so the game moves as swiftly as possible.
If you know you will miss your turn; nominate a sub and provide them with your password. If you miss your turn and haven't nominated a sub, you'll be skipped.
Heroic victories are not allowed unless the same outcome is reached three consecutive times (save and load), the Admin always checks this to be sure.
No bug abuse! When you think someone has used a bug report it here and the admin (me) will look into it. A list of common bugs and exploits can be found somewhere in this forum, but I feel rather lazy atm so look for it yourselves
No sailing from a blockaded port without first defeating the blockading ships.
No sallying forth in a siege to deny your besieger the opportunity to sack your settlement.
Minimum of 4 units per fort, 4 forts/province
Post pictures of battle odds, and results, showing the position of the envolved armies and it's banners.
If any army of yours gets defeated, it shan't move next turn. If a defeated army of yours retreats to a settlement, you are not allowed to sally or in any way use the defeated units. Exception: Reinforcing armies in defense, when based on forts or settlements, even if defeated, don't lose movement points.
You can kill agents by surrounding them with troops, so use your diplomats/princesses wisely.
No surrounding of an army solely to deny a retreat, resulting on killing the army.
Prisoners cannot be ransomed after battle. Release or execute.
Not allowed to spam watchtowers to prevent forting.
Not allowed to to lure the attacker into the fort by disband/suicide sally to set up a trap.
Not allowed to besiege a fort solely to deny the besieged army from participating in battles (with enemy forces next to the fort).
Not allowed to sally from forts (except for sieges lasting longer then 1 turn) unless victory or draw is achieved.
No repeated attacks on 'yoyo/fort buged armies'. You can see when this bug accures, as the enemy army enters the fort and then leaves it.
No assassinations or sabotage. No recruiting of assassins allowed.
Not allowed to recruit spies.
Settlements gifted should disband all units save one.
No building destruction. Burning down everything is a 'cheap' source of gold, and feels rather weird. Not that I never do it or anything, but I'd make it a rule in my hotseat.
No adoptions; use your characters with caution. No marrying your noble ladies to randomly generated characters either; nor adopting generals after you win a battle with no leader; Named characters you start the game with, CAN be adopted (for example, Jonos Mallister, who is not a family member at game start, but is still a character; same for Raymund Vance and others).
No using of princesses/noble ladies to steal generals! Would you marry off your daughters to a sworn enemy? No? Me neither
New Rules: - Each player must submit their turn within a 48 hour period of the save being posted. Failure to do this will result in your turn being skipped by admin. If this happens 3 times in any given period, you will be removed from the hotseat. However this being said you can erase one of the un-excused absences by submitting your save under 24 hours of it being posted.
- For the first turn there will be a map wide peace for all factions. Meaning you CANNOT attack another faction on the first term.
There will be map updates every 10 turns.

As per all of my hotseats, all rules, winning conditions, ect. are open for discussion before the game begins. However, once it has been begun the rules are final and cannot be subjected to change.

Reason: Inserted links to player names
As of now, all players must at turn 1 write a sentence or two at the beginning of the HS regarding their factions, ect. Also, in-game messages must be somewhat roleplayed to if possible. This is simply just to make the hotseat more enjoyable for all.
If you have any questions, feel free to post back.
I'll take Stannis. I've never played him before. Should be interesting.
Also, some of the rules are unusual (no building destruction, no adoptions, allowed to kill princesses/diplomats). I'd recommend sending out a PM to all players before starting the game. Otherwise people will break the rules and claim they didn't know, and we'll have to restart or the admin will have to take action. I've seen hotseats die because people destroyed buildings when they weren't supposed to. You would think they would check the rules, but some players don't.

Fantastic, all we need is a Lannister, Joffery and Renly player. Once we have everyone I will update the OP, send a PM to everyone containing rule verification. Also, please refer to my second post as im going to make a change
Why there is no Tully on list? Are they joined with Stark under the same player or did you forgot on them?
I may be interested to join this one since all of my hotseats are practicaly dying of slow pace. Perhaps it wouldn't be bad if you join Stark/Tully and Lannister/Joffrey under the same player as Ice Eyes did in his latest game for better speed but thats up to you.
Thanks for the suggestion, I did forget to put Tully in there. Also I will combine Lannister/Joffery. I will leave Tully because *Ranger* is new to WTW and it might be a bit overwhelming for him to control such a large area from 1 turn.
With that we are full, and I will begin looking for an admin. If anyone doesn't like the fact of combining Lannister/Joffery talk now
Please begin diplomacy! You have twenty four hours minimum to talk with your allies/potential allies; this really depends on how quickly I can find an admin, I did put a PM out to 8 people so im hoping one responds quickly.
Also. I totally forgot that some characters spawn in enemy/potential enemy territory. The admin will have to teleport them back to the factions nearest settlement.
Another thing, each person must submit the save within the forty eight hour time period or will immediately be skipped by an admin. Your allies will not be able to sub you unless you specifically ask for subbing. If you are beyond the forty eight hour time period three times you will be removed/replaced from this game. If you submit the save within a twenty four hour time period, any lateness (beyond forty eight hours) will be erased. What this means is if you have been late twice without warning, you can erase one of those tally's by submitting a save under 24 hours of it being posted.
I've seen to many hotseats die because of lateness, and I will not tolerate it here.

TBH, I'm also quite new to Hotseats, and the prospect of combined Lannister and Joffrey is very daunting... I would prefer if they were separate, or if not I could switch to a smaller faction and let one of the Veterans take over Lann/Joff.
I think I will just split them up then if you don't feel up to the task. Some of the benefits however are you have several good generals, a very strong economy which can be used to recruit huge armies. But I do see where It would be hard for a new person to take it.
What if we combined Stannis with Joffery? To be honest I'd much rather have Lannister/Joffery instead of just Stannis take it over. Would anyone be up to switch with Lairhound?
