    Default An AOR idea

I'm not a modder, and it's quite likely that someone has thought of this if not tried it, but just incase, here's my idea...

Since there isn't a proper AOR system, would it be possible to replace the buildings in each city or province? Such as, have the exact same buildings so it all fits together but copy them with different unit types, and assign the buildings to specific cities/provinces. Such as, say you are playing at one of the Northmen factions, and you take over Britannia Inferior, you can still build the artisan buildings, but more specialised/region specific units would only appear in Scandza, due to the buildings appearing the same, but actually being different in it's setup. I'm not sure if my explanation makes sense, but hopefully it does.

An AoR is possible. Not much changed actually so Magnar's tutorial is still valid. The region_unit_ressource_requirement column from the main_unit table is visible with the assembly kit. Don't forget to thanks him.

What still cause problem is that you can not changed this one with PFM as it does not recognize this perticular column. It makes the main_unit table impossible to modify with PFM as soon as you introduce region requirement. On the other hand you need to modify the startpos without the Assembly kit as BOB is for the moment unable to process startpos. Even the vanilla. So for the moment you have to play with a bit of every tools but the thing is possible.
