"Your driver is not up to date"

So according to my Nvidia I have the latest drivers and no new updates are available but the Total War launcher is telling me they are out of date.
When I start the game... it does not look as good as I remember it, I have not had a chance to play in months and I do not recall the game looking THIS bad.

So what is the update that CA wants me to install?

What is the driver version you currently have?

I've personally seen my "GeForce Experience" report that I have the latest driver installed, yet when I go to Nvidia's website, I find a more current WHQL release for my hardware. So in my experience, Nvidia's GeForce Experience software was actually incorrect, and the Total War Launcher was correct in that my driver was outdated.

I have the 347.52 version.
on a forum it said this is a the latest version.

347.52 is almost 3 months (2 versions) old. The latest nvidia driver is infact 350.12. So the TW launcher is correct, your driver is most likely outdated.

What GPU and OS do you have? Use nvidia's tool here to find the latest driver for your setup: http://www.geforce.com/drivers

lol. that's what I use! the automatic installer is telling me its up to date.

Don't use the automatic detection tool. Select your hardware and operating system from the dropdown menus.

I have the same thing and my drivers are up to date , i compared my drvier version with the latest amd version yet i still have " your drivers may be out of date " message
