Need help for a Mod

Hey,

I am very very new to modding. And I created a mod that gives silver and bronze shield pikemen to Macedon. But I want these pikemen to be available when I capture the capitals of the factions who originally has them. Like when I take antioch I get silver shields.How can I do this? Any ideas?
