Rise Of Europe
Hello all, first i would like to introduce myself, I am the great apostate, a little name i came up with after i took off my hijab and left islam (and all other religions for that matter) but religion isnt why im here ... or is it...
I am such a noob at modding, but i have started watching Magnars mod tutorials, as well as DogSoilderSPQR so thank you very much for both of you, also huge thanks to all you modders who did such an amazing job it pushed me to learn to mod, such as the Radiuos team, DeI team, Sadiee, and the ones that i already thanked obvi
I want to get a team together to do an overhaul, i do think this game is a HUGE improvement over R2 however there are obvious problems.
This is obviously a brand new idea and, as i dont know anyone in e community personally, i dont even know where to start for people, or even know if people would even be interested in my mod, or at least what i want to do to it so lets get to the nitty gritty.I would like this mod to be historically accurate as well as have all the nice long game play features like 12 tpy, longer battles, etc i want to get rid of a lot of that arcade feel.
What i think need to be changed and in this mod will be changed.
WOMEN AT WAR
First and foremost this seems to be a huge issue to so many on this platform, i understand that my fellow lady gamers are some times pushy about wanting women represented, but nothing is as bad as the penis envy i have seen on the boards wanting all female modles removed.
Its not up for debate WOMEN did fight, the debatable part is to what extent,
FIRST AND FOREMOST I AM NOT A FEMINIST, i do however know if we based everything off what the Romans wrote about the adversarys the huns would be using sticks.

So as you can see the Romans had a really bad habit of letting their personal hatred and feelings of superiority fill their histories, They did write about women fighting for Germanic tribes, again not at great length, but this must have also been laughable to them as they were a ver sexist culture just like most of the greeks. Lets keep in mind that Athens thought the spartans mad because they allowed women to be nude and participate in sports and games along with men.
So what i want to do for the Mod is
+ A mix of women to higher tier units for The Huns and the other Nomadic tribes (we know the did use women warriors, (basically everyone apart of the horde old enough could fight)
+ The Norse will also have higher tier mix men and women units, they however will be the only ones to have a only female heavy unit (shield maidens) [Just like the huns upon actually looking at their burial sites women are burried with armor, this leads us to believe that there were obviously important women, who at minimum owned armor, and probably were allowed to fight due to their standing, but i feel it is because of their talent with the arms and armor they had standing.
- All females models from rosters of emmergent factions, basically anyone that breaks off of the Sassanid, or roman empires will not have Female models.
- All female models from all christian starting nations (this is by in large, where most of the sexism of Europe and the women are ment to cook and stay at home and make babies while men do man things came from and why women for long after the tribes became kingdoms no longer allowed women to fight.) Even after great warrior women minds like Boudica.
/ Ensure that no eastern, or arab tribes have no women fighters.
Religion (the great CA Schism of 395 AD)
Religion is one factor in the game i do like having and i think it helps define cultures and keeps who would ally with pretty believeable.
I would like to make this ever more apparent by adding some values still deciding exactly on thos values and some imput would always be nice.
I make fun of the fact there was no Schism at this early, but its for a laugh, CA did a good in my opinion by splitting it, and this is why.
I feel it not only helps with gameplay, as CA said, but also i feel it helps define not so much the religion but their culture. Most of what religion is culture anyways, thats why Chrisitans in America are different from those in Africa or Rome or even different parts of America. Same with most religions.
heres kinda what i was thinking
First and Foremost id like to know if Unit availibility can be altered depending on what religion someone coverts too as i want to make some not vailible such as women mix units for nations after becoming christian, and maybe a special unit for every faith on the game.
Latin Christianity (Spreading faith focus) i want to give this a bonus to how fast it spreads and ive boost to Economy.
Greek Christianity (Focus on public order) as well as a boost to the economy, so keep your the sheep happy, make some money.
Gemanic Paganism (Warrior focus) give moral and expirence gain to recruits
Celtic paganism (Nature focus) gives bonus to farming, as well as slight protection from nature attrition(swamp, cold,etc)
+Judaism (Survival focus) Bonus to seige hold out times, cheaper build and maintain levy units.
zoroastrianism (wisdom and destruction) Faster research rate, better range for arty or more destructive arty
Minor religion (no focus) + 15 moral
UNITS
Id like to have a ton of new units add ESPECIALLY to the romans, huns and fleshing out the differences between, goth, germanic, norse, celt, and steepe rosters
also i want break off states to have a mix of roman, and regional units for instance.
If Gaul breaks off, i want them to have the early roman units and a mix of their gemanic/ frank units.
I want my models to be as historically accurate as possible but also to give the game some flair and cultural diversity.
So with that being said, i also want to mess with the AOR especially for the huns, because like the Auxilia of R2 i think the huns could have some hybrid mix unit of other nations as they did take on all kinds of peoples into their hordes.
More Units with Raid trait, tired of my huns walking through a town and respecting everything along the way LULZ ... but seriously more fire and more tourches.
Politics And Imperium
I want to totally rework these, dominion to a degree should be rewarded until you are tryannical, i would like to see this also happen in the game. So not until like the last bit should you start getting into huge penelties, same with imperium.
My example for this is best put by using Rome and Attila the hun as an example, the Romans paid Attila 6000 lbs of gold a year so that he would not attack them, and when the faild to do so he burned no less then 70 towns to the ground, and they again paid.
If you have an imperium of impressive why would other nations hate you..... now if you are terrfying they would fear you and give to your demands but also want to over throw you, so i want to find a way to make this work the same.
Also i want politics to work differently depending on who you are, because if you rule with an iron fist and your power is absolute, in an eastern culture they are used to that, the negatives wouldnt be as extreme as they would in oh say like a germanuc tribe turned kingdom like the franks, saxons etc.
Meaningful Campaign Map
So what i mean by this is, all that nice meaningful seasons, and the 12tpy, and a meaningful resources all that i want to make a difference in the game so i want to have those implimented as well. Also the CAI will have to be worked on so far i use for gamplay Better Aggreesive CAI 3.5
Also as touched on before i would like to do an AOR style recruitment with a set of core units like DeI did for R2
Combat
I want to work this over completely, i want better matched combate, and slower battles, if i wanted a battle to just end quick or not play and enjoy it id auto resolve. The battlles and esspecially the seiges should be much lonnger.
I also would like to impliment a one hp system much like Warriors of Faith has.

I want to re do the accuracy of seige equipment as well, and strenght of towns, ie the walls nerf the towers and build more blockaides.
Still coming up with Ideas and learning and editing some units and stuff, all other ideas, or things you see that can or shouldnt be done and why i would be more than happy to hear it, take it easy on me though please haha its my first time even attempting to mod lol so im still learning and just want to make something that is accurate and fun for everyone, and that is a good idea.
