Changing religion of faction - please help

Hi there,

I wanted to change religion of Norway faction to pagan, I did:

- descr_sm_factions -> Norway to Pagan
- descr_strat -> ai_label to Pagan
- descr_regions -> all Norway regions I switched value of Catholic to Pagan (when i start game, old values are ingame, but in 5-6 turns it changes to values I edited).

Now what I need is to change buildings from temples to pagan altars, and changing prists to pagan prists.

And I hope that would be all right? Please someone help to or guide how to change buildings and prists

This should have been asked in the "How to mod SS" thread. Technical Help means the game isn't working or your computer function well.

If you changed descr_strat and descr_regions, you have to delete map.rwm and start a new game.

For the altars, you have to mod export_descr_buildings to allow Norway to build the temples and remove it from the list of factions than can build churches. Then you have to copy the pictures of the temples from Lithuania and put them in Norway's folder (or the northern_european folder, if there is no Norway folder). I think you might have to change the names of the temple pictures. You have to copy the entries of the temples in export_buildings in the "text" folder and change the copy to apply to northern_european culture.

I did most of things you wrote me to do, and I think I'm close to change completly Norway religion.

I have those pagan altars ingame, but when I recrut "priest" still i got ICON with catholic prist (during recrutation and on UI on map, also it says Norwegian priest, not Norwegian Pagan Priest) but model is PAGAN What did I miss?

I think you have to edit expanded.txt in order to change the in-game name of the priest.

For the icon, you have to copy the picture of the shaman from Lithuania's folder in the data\ui\units folder.
