I think the first picture's helmets are good for mid-tier units : The second picture look like general's bodyguards.
You should keep the helmets of the second pictures for higher units, In my opinion

That sea people helmet is astonishing !
Okay I didn't know youd already made sea peoples feathered crowns before I posted my model on the other BA thread. But maybe you can use a different style.

I can improve this with under cap back of neck guard and chin strap if wanted.
the feathers looks great, could you fill the gaps between the feathers?
a philistine helmet like that would be great.
I agree. Having leather strip and feather helmets would cover all the gaps in the sea peoples roster certainly. Although, I personally see it as a lower priority compared to some other models, check my pm for information.
A feather helmet would be necessary, simply because the way the leather strip model is, is that it has a internal structure that replicates the way the leather would have been pulled back and tied into a central knot in the helmet, feathers could have just been stuck to the rim, so that internal structure doesnt 'jive' with feather helmets. And their is evidence for both in Mycenaean art, although Egyptian art much more strongly features the leather.
Again though, since it is similar to a existing model, I would rather you focus-if you officially joined the mod-on other models that are more unique and still very important.

Nice source image. Thanks. I will try and make that.
I wont join your team. Sorry if I got your hopes up; I know many mod teams are looking for modelers. I had a car accident before Christmas last year and am still recovering (head injuries from collision with pole when I fell asleep driving) and so the reason I wont join your team is I cannot promise constant work. I just wanted to contribute something to your excellent mod, which I am personally waiting for, and thought you might get some use out of that helmet.
I will however make more models for you guys. I am particularly interested in the feathered and or leather strip helmets but can make I guess anything you need including armor and perhaps even clothing if I ever work out the clothing modifier so my clothing isn't all stiff and horrible.
I am not experienced modeler just a hobbyist. Ive made mods for Rome 2 before, mostly for personal use.
So I guess I will remake this helmet, and if you have something else for me to make just post me an image source and I will do my best.
PS Thanks for cleaning up my posts. I made quite a mess trying to get my posts to show up because some got caught by the mods and also I cannot edit posts yet.
