I played as the ERE up to the year 499 and to my surprize got the warning that my entire empire was about to go bankrupt in the next turn even tho I had thousands of talents in the treasury as well as a healthy income in each season. Is there no way to continue on past this year as one could in Rome-1 and Medieval-2?
