Lag City!!! Plz Plz Plz Help

im having lag issues during battle, could som1 plz help me to be able to play this game without lag.Here are my specs

Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.60 GHz
Windows XP [service pack 1]
direct 9.0 or better

GeForce FX 5200
128mb

I wonder if its laggy because i dont have the internet on that computer so it cant updat, or if it my graphic card or something, plz be very specif, im not that good with computers

You graphic card is bare minimum.
Tune everything down in the options especially shadows and grass
Whats your ram? if under 1024 megs you will have even more troubles

how do i find out what my ram is? and even if i tone everything down all the way, its still choppy

well 5200 is too old to survive
and to check ur ram
go to my computer
right click
now go to property tab

thats it u will have ur ram listed at the bottom of the window .

Hi!

I have similar problem...

I have AMD 2200+, radeon 9800SE, 1GB of Ram, and I have everything on low

except unit detail which is on high

Now, when I play battles in the early game where citys and castels are not so advanced, no problem, everything runs smooth and great...

The problem seems to be when citys are big or huge my comp just can't handle them on a battle map. If i have camera turned to the city i get almost slideshow

and when i turn the camera so that i only see part of the wall it runs fine again. Or if i zoom in again it runs fine.

Is there any other option where I could lower the building resolution or something??

This seems to be a problem with ATI cards

Hmm... Well I don't know when I upgraded it the last time. Could it be driver related?

OK, I just started a defensive battle in my big? (stone) castel and it seems that with castels this is
not the case!!

Both rigs are bare minimum to run the game. Sieges always require more resources than regular battles.
