Getai Free Upkeep Problem
Hello EB team and fellow players
I didn't know if this is a bug in the strict sense of being a bug so I didn't report it to the bug report but I'd like to report that although some Getai governments have the trait of providing free upkeep to units (some units I know), there is not a single unit in the Getai faction which is free upkeepable. I'm forced to pay for upkeeps of all my garrison troops as well as my armies which cripples the faction economy.
Since I've opened this thread I'd also like to report that although Getai have a few factional units in this stage of EBII, they look gorgeous on the battle map and I think their stats are balanced well compared to the units of the armies they face. Their unit rooster is also rounded well because each unit serves a specific purpose in the battle which makes it a really fun to play faction.

Re: Getai Free Upkeep Problem
It's not a bug, it just hasn't been implemented for the Getai. It's inconsistently applied in the EDU, I don't think the concept has been firmed enough to know how it should work. I'd argue the Komatai and Komatai Toxotai should be free upkeep units.
Really, though, the Getai suffer most from the big, Thracian-sized hold in their roster.

Re: Getai Free Upkeep Problem
Ah, I see..
Komatai would make good garrisons for Getai, it's fitting with their social context written in their description and they are capable of nonprolonged melee combat which I believe is quietessential for a garrison unit (I mean they don't have to hold line like a phalanx does but they should be warriors who can at least try to give it a shot at defending their settlement without laying down their weapons and surrendering).
"though, the Getai suffer most from the big, Thracian-sized hold in their roster." What do you mean by this line? Maybe it's my lack of idioms but can you explain?
Another thing I'd like to ask is that are the minor settlements related to archaeological findings? If yes, Getai are unfortunate, if not, they could use some minor settlements for free upkeep troops or just plain campaign emergence. Their lands look like populated enough when I compare them to Boii lands or central Ghaul but then, I'm nothing even close to a historian..

Re: Getai Free Upkeep Problem
Sorry, I wasn't clear, what I meant was that the real problem was that the Getai roster is only half-completed. It's one of the urgent ones to be finished.
