Re: How is stable is your game?
Mine rarely crashes. The only crash I remember appeared to be from AI reinforcements performing an illegal move.
I normally use my older PC on the game. Athlon x2 series dual core procesor with a geforce 8800 GT. I've been trying to get third age running on my main computer and in the process broke stainless steel on that one. I'm pretty sure it had the same stability. Thats a trinity a-10 5800k APU processor using internal graphics.
With older games sometimes older stuff is more stable, but I'm not sure what exactly your problem is. I swear it seems like luck of the draw half the time with total war mods.

Re: How is stable is your game?
I have the usual loading screen crashes and occasional battle crashes as in most mods. I do not know how much of that Melooo's bugfix fixes. I also suffered from occasional deletions of files which may have been caused by Windows updates. This can happen with any mod.
The only mod-specific problem I can remember is crashes at Tmutarakan every time I fought a battle manually (rather than autoresolving, which of course would lead always to defeat since the battle odds always favour the AI).
Have you been experiencing crashes?

Re: How is stable is your game?
The only thing I enjoy doing now in the game is having large multiple army battles, but my there is a good chance the game will crash when I try to have them, or the AI won't do anything once they've entered the battlefield. So I stopped playing, probably will give it another shot when the next big mod release comes out (Titanium, SS 7.0, etc.)

SS in my one of the most stable mods there is, and the Bugfix mod makes it even more stable. I very, very rarely get crashes, and it is usually from reinforcing armies.

Re: How is stable is your game?
The bugfix compilation goes a long way to sort out the bugs.
That said we can't fix things like system instability, memory leaks, and that damn AI reinforcing armies problem.
(Haven't worked out if RBAI makes it worse, better, has no effect.)
You can always reload and hope the reinforcing army doesn't show up or arrives in a different location.
There's a CTD that can happen when a battle has been completed.
Again despite checking the system log I still can't work out what causes it.

Re: How is stable is your game?
I have crashes after meloo's bug fix compilation. Mostly it i get after the battles. It really annoys me. And moreover, after fix compi installed , i get a lot of factions just bankrupt and defeated in my campaign, they just recruit so many units and bankrupt. Then next turn faction is gone. I had like 1 campaign where 11 factions bankrupted and i did'nt even fought them.

Re: How is stable is your game?
AFAIK it isn't recruiting too many units that causes a faction to disappear, it's when it runs out of royal family members.
There used to be code that kept producing family members if there was less than 4 still alive, but that has been changed, so I understand so it only fires 3 times.
If that restriction was removed the problem might be reduced.
As for the AI being bankrupt, that's a sign it is spending all its money on units etc.

Re: How is stable is your game?
In game terms, "bankrupt" only means a faction has used all the money it had for that turn. The money may have been used for units, buildings, diplomacy, anything. The word does not have the same meaning as it would have in real life.

Re: How is stable is your game?
Well I'm playing the SS6.4 plus 1.27 bug fixes (plus my own PSFs) -
game is progressing well, Mongols are invading big time
Early era - at Year 1240 approx.
CTDs - one or two - caused by known M2TW bugs such as withdrawing from a multi-army battle when your allies attack.
But nothing that can't be recovered from.
