    Default Question about Boat Battles

    Hey there

Fought a boat battle in Attila, and noticed that when I beat the enemy using boarding actions and their ships routed, all my men suddenly decided to courtly leave the enemy ships in the middle of the battle and head back onto their own, letting the enemy run away

Now I know from Empire, my men would NOT cancel a boarding action just because the enemy broke. They'd usually proceed to deal with whatever resistance remained and capture the ship. But this is apparently not the case with Attila?

Is this working as intended? Because it seems awfully nonsensical.

It is dumb and we want it patched, but yes that's how it is right in the current iteration of the game.

Not only couldn't you board an already routing boat, the attack order is still registered, resulting in your own ship approaching the fleeing enemy one until very close distance, then suddenly stop. CA should really make up their mind: either fleeing ships are fair games and could be attack, or the routed crew scutters their own ship.
