I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but the AI seems to almost never get diseases in their cities. When I went to check the files, I found that indeed the AI has several bonuses that protect them from the effects of disease, depending on difficulty level. It makes the effect of the disease mechanic somewhat one-sided, since it affects the player much more than the AI. For example, I've never gotten a disease from trading with an AI faction, but I've spread disease to AI factions through trade routes twice.
This mod is an experiment, removing those bonuses from every difficulty level - the effect is that there should be more disease for AI factions, and hopefully this will affect the player when they trade with an AI faction suffering from a plague, or think about conquering a disease-ridden city. Unfortunately, I don't really have time to run a campaign to test this at the moment, so I'm hoping someone here is interested in trying this out.The changes should be save-compatible. The only thing I'm worried about is that this will cripple the AI, but powerful AI factions seem to have no trouble fielding a dozen full stacks anyway... at the moment, this mod removes the AI's bonuses against disease entirely - at least I think it does. The mod doesn't crash the game anyway, that much I have tested. Please let me know if this works.
