Eras In Campaign
There are three eras in MTWII (Early,High and Late), I have a question about training units in the campaign.
If for example there is a unit that is classified as Late period unit, I will only be able to train it once the Late period starts in my campaign even though I have the needed structure in my castle/city that allows me to train it ?
btw when each period starts/ends?

Periods apply in custom battles, in campaign you just need to have proper buildings. (Gunpowder units require the event of course)

sending a diplomat to Rome will do it?

send a diplomat and establish an embassy there.
Suggested employees for the embassy:
2 master assasins ( a must, 6 is needed if youd like to wipe out the papacy completely)
2 diplomats
2 spies
1 cardinal
2 priests.
