Default Bug? Or annoying a.i exploit?

    Hi,

Bit annoyed with this. So I have a rebellious settlement and a rebel army attacks me in the same turn after spawning...

Not only that if I lose the battle (it's with two stacks as it's one turn away from turning into a tier three settlement/city) within the same turn it turns into a Roman style city so after retaking it with my 20 unit stack it takes me another 12 turns to change it back?

How on earth can the rebels do this in the space of one turn when it takes me x turns to convert settlements/cities etc?

Someone explain this is as I cant seem to make any sense of it.

    The AI is cheating.

    There's no AI cheating here.

If you lose control of the settlement, then all buildings that are being constructed in progress get reset. This applies to all factions, not just player-controlled ones.

I think you're misunderstanding him. He is saying the settlement was automatically converted to another culture. For example, if he was a barbarian faction with a barbarian village, he lost his settlement to Roman rebels, who automatically converted it to a Roman village, where it would take the player several turns to convert from Roman to Barbarian, the Romans converted the settlement in only 1 turn.

Unless ofc I hadnt built the first tier....actually that's possible will see what happens if i click reset. Not sure how the rebels can spawn and attack in the same turn dont they usually just spawn. I guess as my garrison is two units they are exploiting this...

Maybe this is just a stupid question, but was your settlement already barbarian (or eastern, whatever) before you lost it, about the rebels, after they spawned they get their own turn, so it's then up to the ai whether they attack or not... So that's not a bug... Agree with you that the garrisons were made too small though...
